The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. I heard about her from Michael Silverblatt's show & went to order it like right after hearing her read. It's mostly about a young Chicana girl growing up in a poorer Latino neighborhood in Chicago, told thru these like little vignettes that sort of work like poetry almost, & you'll prolly find a few that really really hit you the way poems do. But yeah, it's a very pretty book you can read in an afternoon, definitely recommend it.

I didn't see very many movies this year, but here's maybe fourish I liked a bunch!

  • Carol bwaa loved this movie so much, I waited way too long to see it & only got to catch it once. It's turned me into a huge Haynes fanboy, I've been going thru all his stuff since.
  • Mad Max : Fury Road
  • Star Wars : The Force Awakens
  • Inside Out

@kierkegaard: That's where I'm at, too. Even tho I'm really enjoying my time with Witcher, there's something super charming about all the Inquisition bros that really makes me feel good & full.

Xena: Warrior Princess - The Talisman of Fate, a Xena fighting game on the N64. I played a bunch of this with my sisters when I was a little kid, prolly sometime around 2000? I remember spamming one of Caesar's attacks over & over & just being really insufferable.
