Time Flies

Feels like yesterday GiantBomb was launched and we all came here from GameSpot following Jeff's departure from there. I remember those days when we were contributing as much content as possible. And look at GB now! Very impressive. The death of Ryan Davis must have been a blow for the site but I always knew that Jeff was up to the task.

Well, I'm not sure if any of my old pals are still around here. After Craig, Serbsta and I started NoobFeed back in 2008, we didn't have enough time to contribute here. With that though I lost contact with so many friends. I miss talking to Feran, Mike, sadinshadow, James, Kane so many of them. Wish there was some sort of a reunion for us to get in touch with everyone again.

Recently, however, we've started another site called GamesCreed for publishing gaming updates mostly. Nothing too fancy but you're welcome to drop by and share your feedback. It's only been a few months that the site is launched. When we started NoobFeed, the first words were spread through GiantBomb. So I thought of dropping a line here for GamesCreed too.

Anyway, here's my Twitter and you're always most welcome to drop a line for a chat. I'll also try to make some time to check my inbox and notifications here too.

Stay safe.

Interview - Eric Cartman

Voiced by Trey Parker, Cartman is an overweight, spoiled, foul-mouthed, mean-spirited, selfish, and ill-tempered fourth-grader living with his hermaphroditic de facto mother in the fictional town of South Park, Colorado, where he commonly has extraordinary experiences not typical of conventional small-town life.

Cartman is one of the most popular characters on the show, and has remained one of the most recognizable television characters ever since South Park became a hit during its first season. Parker and Stone describe the character as "a little Archie Bunker", and state that he is their favorite character, and the one with whom they most identify. During its thirteen seasons, South Park has received both praise and criticism for Cartman's tendency to be politically incorrect and shockingly profane. Prominent publications and television channels have included Cartman on their lists of the most iconic television and cartoon characters of all-time.

FIFA vs. PES

There’s been a lot of talking through past few years regarding FIFA and PES. PES has been doing great recently improving its gameplay quality, where as FIFA has improved its overall features. Our site was missing the debate on these two games, so I thought of introducing it to all of you who loves and play soccer games.

I’d like to update you about the two big upcoming soccer titles.

---------------

FIFA 10 - How big can football get?

On the heels of winning 25 international gaming awards with FIFA Soccer 09, the top-selling soccer franchise from EA SPORTS™ is surpassed with FIFA Soccer 10. Responding to consumer feedback from more than 275 million online games played, FIFA Soccer 10 refines an already potent game engine, focusing on what matter most to fans.

An advanced FIFA Soccer 10 features core gameplay refinements based on responsiveness and intelligence, plus a completely overhauled Manager Mode that includes more than 50 major improvements. These enhancements and more deliver a new standard for authenticity, as FIFA Soccer 10 continues to set the benchmark in both innovations and gameplay as the most complete simulation of soccer.

PES - The most realistic football simulation ever.

Pro Evolution Soccer is a video game built on pride, the pride that comes from making the most realistic soccer experience one can have within the world of gaming. Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 does not disappoint and this year, the voices of fans world-wide have been heard. Based in Japan, Winning Eleven Productions has instituted a host of anticipated changes that make PES 2010 the best yet.

In PES 2010 you'll find yourself on the largest stage in digital soccer: The Champions League. Imagine you're in a 1-1 tie in stoppage time against Manchester United. You've broken their defense and are sprinting full throttle into a man to man match of wits and reflexes with Edwin van der Sar... Do you have what it takes to punch it in for the win?

A birthday wish

The chase was on and i was running as fast as I could. After running for a while, I came across to a dead and had no place to go. He pointed out the gun at me and fired. Bang! Bang! Bang! Three shots were fired and none missed. I fell on the ground and everything went hazy..

He walked close to me. Sat in front of me, took off his hat and smiled.

“y o u  l o o k  s c a r e d  R o n?” His voice echoed.

He grabbed my shirt and pulled me up. He looked into my eyes. I could barely see as my vision went blurry. I struggle but managed to say

“ who are you?”

“Look closer you fool”. He replied.

----- my phone woke me up. Knight was calling. I didn’t pick up. Went straight to the wash room. Splashed cold water on my face. I was thinking about the dream! It wasn’t over. I looked at the mirror. Splashed some more water on my face. Who was he? I questioned myself.

Ring! Ring! Knight called again and I picked up this time.

- Dude! where were you? he yelled.

- I was trying to take a nap!

- It should be day time in your place and you’re sleeping?

- yea. I worked till late last night and didn’t go to work. Wait a min! it should be mid night at your place, isn’t?

- that’s the reason I called dude! I just had a weirdest dream and you won’t believe what I just saw.

- please don’t tell me you just tried to kill me!

- HOLY JAMBO! How the hell you guessed that?

- I didn’t guess dude! I was there in your dream.

- what?

- forget it. tell me watup!

- no no no! tell me, how the hell you guessed it?

- can’t explain it dude. I think we both were dreaming at the same phase.

- you mean. You saw me chasing you and shoot you?

- no. I was trying to figure out who was that guy. So, how did it end? Did I die in your part?

- I couldn’t finish it either. I called you right after I woke up from my dream.

- oh great! aright! Dude. I think I’ll go for a drink. Feeling fuzzy. Talk to ya later.

- hold on!

- what?

- aren’t you forgetting something?

- umm! Yea. my wallet. Thanks.

- No. not your wallet!

- then?

- it’s 22 May dude!

- what about it?

- figure it out. Bye. And call me when you do.

- Aright. I’m on it.

I came out of my house and went straight to the pub. Ordered Vodka. And then I suddenly realized that date. 22 May. It’s knight birthday. Called him straight away.

- you figured it out, didn’t you?

- Happy birthday dude.

- thanks. I wish you were here. I’ve got all my 3 girl friends lined up for dates today. Yay!

- lol. some people just never change. You go have fun with them mate. I’ll send you a gift later.

- gift? From BD? what gift are you planning to send?

- I’ll write a blog for you.

- lol. seriously?

- yea. promise. Will do it after I go back home.

- aright. Cool. Thanks. Catch you later then. Bye.

- you go have fun today. Bye.

I came home and start writing this for knight. And then I thought, he deserve a better gift than just a simple blog. So here it is.

“ Knight is a very good potential writer. He’s still novice but he has the gist a writer needs to start his career. Unfortunately he loves to write about things which gamers don’t pay much attention and which Love! If he were in any other forum relates to the subject Love, he would’ve been a better writer by now. but he preferred to stick to us and help the gaming community grow bigger. So, those of you haven’t read the story he is currently working with, I recommend you read it. he needs our support and guidance, so that he can be a better writer in future.

Sorry for the long blog and thanks in advance for helping out a very potential writer.

Rolling the ball.

Imagine that you’ll have to launch a brand new website within two months and you don’t have people working under your company; plus, you start with a zero budget.

Somehow we managed it. Sebsta, fishdalf and me.  We missed the first launch date though. That’s not because we weren’t on schedule, it’s because we were in the middle of the longest vacation period possible. The development work speed went down to 10% because of Christmas and New Year vacations. But we didn’t take our breaks, we worked during Christmas. As far as I remember, 3 of us were online conferencing even during the new party. And yes, after 47 days(less) of development work we made it live.

There are many good things that came out of the project NoobFeed. I personally managed to get along with people whom I never thought of meeting or working together. Specially the guy who designed the layout. If we didn’t have any requirement with the design/layout, he would’ve made something ever better than our current one. He’s such an amazing designer, who can read your mind and bring the exact thing you’re visualizing. There are still some works left from him, which all of you will see in near future.

I also managed to get NoobFeed a deal with a renowned IT compnay, who’ll continue the ongoing development work for next three years. so, far I’m really proud of them because their developers understand the urgency for what we ask for and they deliver in a good speed. The worst thing about the developers is that none of them are gamers and they don’t seem to understand our psychology very well. Nerds : P lol
we had time limitation and of course there were other problems, but these guys made all the things very easy for us. Rather than the bug testing for a week or two, we barely had to spend time explaining things to them.

And, now the site is Live and our work is being paid off. It is really an amazing feeling to watch you guys loving the site. What you see now; is just the backbone of NoobFeed, and there are many more features to be added. We just want our users to guide us to the right direction for becoming a better place for gamers all around the world.

Not to mention the support we have had from Giant Bomb. Without GB it would’ve been difficult to get such wonderful crowd in there. On behalf of the NoobFeed team; I show gratitude to all of you; who have visited and joined our site and specially to GB team who has let us publish about NoobFeed in here.

Final Call for Friends or I'm outta GiantBomb.

The reason I'm pissed off

last few weeks have been like hell to me. i was piled up with works from office and some other works..no gaming, no forums and not enough sleep. that describes a lot...
anyway, i'm still busy and just came to make you guys an offer. ..don't worry! you won't have to buy anything. it's an offer to stick together at GiantBomb like a family.

The Offer

I have the idea to conduct Union activity without having unions feature at GB and I think that untill GB makes unions for us; we can easily manage something different.
I'm not going to expose the idea yet. first i need to see whether you're interested in forum activity or not. as i know that many of you guys hate forums and many of you love. so, if there are souls who love forums living at GB; Id love to see their Messages+Blog comments in here.

I hope you guy're having good time at GB and will continue to have. later....

Oh! about the blog header, it's actually true. cos i'm not a very big fan of other features GB has. i was here for unions. and if i can't find any way to have that in here; i'll simply be a guest not an user of GB

is GB a wiki or gaming community, i'm totally confused !

can you guys help me find the answer/s?
all these 'uploading images' and 'guides' make me think that GB is becoming more into a gaming wiki. and these activities are too much self centered. where can i find some real group activity?

*is there anyone who knows that what features GB will be offering in near future?*
