The VGM Spotlght - Volume #2

Is Disgaeamad Gonna Have to Make You Listen to Some Music?

Right, so I know I said I'd probably do these every 3 or 4 days, but I got the urge to do one today, so yeah! For today's track, we have:

Track #2 - A Boy Undeterred by the Unknown

Game: Lunar: Silver Star Harmony
Composer: Noriyuki Iwadare

In terms of RPGs, Lunar is pretty oldschool. A boy goes on an adventure, stuff happens, boy ends up having to save the world. The series itself is pretty famous within some communities I've been in, but I've never really seen any mention of it on Giantbomb at all. This track is from the recent PSP remake of the first game, and it's first used as the initial overworld theme, which I believe works well as it really gives you the feeling that you're about to start up on your big adventure, ready for anything that comes.

Starting now I'll stick to the "every 3 - 4 days" schedule just to give you guys a breather before the next track. Look forward it!

P.S: jim_dandy, the next time you vomit on my blog, expect a piledrive.

Was somebody dropping glass bells? And did somebody then decide to flute it up, for some reason? I prefer this:

Actually, with your avatar, I'm expecting something more along the lines of this:

@Disgaeamad: You can't tell me not to vomit on something and then honestly expect me not to vomit on it.

(gets piledrived)

@Video_Game_King: I actually liked that last one. Sounds like actual music.

I'm liking the Recorder on that track.  Also, it kinda reminds me of some of the music from Tales of Phantasia for some reason.

A friend of mine recommended that i play Lunar: Silver Star Story a few years back, but nothing really ever came of that, maybe i should go back and take another crack at it.

@L33tfella_H: If you're gonna start up some Lunar, I'd recommend the PSP remake bro.

Might I suggest some of the NieR soundtrack. I don't listen to a lot of game music outside of playing the actual game, but I've found myself putting some of these tracks in my playlist. These are a couple of my favorites:

Sounds like pretty standard RPG-music to me. Not bad but nothing memorable. The previous one and next one are much better :)

If you understand what I just said at all, Sweep...then I will be both mindblown and mindfucked.  Think about THAT!
