I'm going to sidestep the obvious Bloodborne recommendation and go straight for the jugular.

Zeno Clash II

What, you didn't hear me? I said Zeno Clash II!

It's what I perceive to be one among a very small number of wholly original and unique games released in these last couple of years. It's also much more of a game than the first installment, having a greatly expanded combat system, a mesmerizing world and a story that is completely bonkers, both in content and in scale.

It's not the longest game, clocking in at around 8 hours, but I feel that's a benefit as it'd allow the guys to keep it fresh and just have some fun with this here format. If I haven't sold you on it by now, let me just say this, it's a game that Vinny would try to break so hard, and doing would actually pay off.

@fredchuckdave: 13th of this month. It's supposed to be 10 hours + long. Between MGS V, Bloodborne, Destiny and certainly vanilla Witcher 3, I kind of hate myself for thinking that's a low number. That said, it seems like they've put a lot of effort into this release as I've heard that it goes places and then some. Also worth noting, fans of the books or the first game might just see a familiar face. Shani's back and as red-headed as ever.

I'm definitely diving back in. In fact, I'm kind of tempted to hit new game + as is and work my way from there. A german magazine I like that goes by the name of gamestar gave it an 88 out of 100. Considering the highest score they have EVER given a video game is 93, that's high praise.

I hear it's more of a psychological thriller, but "Regression" looks real good. Also, Emma Watson.

Gonna' be a hell of a month for films between that, The Lobster (Collin Farrel and Rachel Weisz, need I go on?), the new Woody Allen flick, The Martian and Sicario.

I just created a forum post on the Cerberus Wolves Group Forum, inviting folks to join me for a raid this week-end. Hope some of you guys will help me find out what all the fuss is about.

Should anyone here want to take part of said raid (Vault of Glass or Crota's End), but being unable to join our oh-so-very-cool-sounding clan, throw me a message and I'll see what I can do about including you.

I've sent a request under the moniker "RandomSacrifice". I, too, was once an idiot when it came to "cool" names.

Ain't sure how long I'll stick with the game, but ever since I got my first exotic auto rifle, I'm determined to see through the all available content once at the very least. The god damn thing feels so bloody good that it's actually resulted in me running around, groaning in pleasure whenever I gun anyone down. It's a lot of groaning. Voice-chat optional, you guys.

@spoonman671: I'm glad I'm not the only one. I don't often find myself browsing through the Youtube comment section, but that thing was littered with folks who even admitted to crying. One way or another, that is a hell of a cinematic. The bait and switch at the very end with the lone zealot remaining all battered and desperate, only to charge ahead of his reinforcements, was terrific. I might just have to pre-order this thing to satisfy the anticipation with those prologue missions.

And just for the record, Terran player here.

@tjk: I remember a ton of stuff in that vein from Wings of Liberty, it was just mostly rendered in-engine which still managed to look terrific somehow. If they're going to go spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on CGI, I can understand that they're seeking an emotional response to it, and seeing the battles you've fought in an isometric perspective rendered this lovingly is a hell of an effective way to accomplish that.

From the page source, that's the actual image.

This was dumb.

This is a Silent Hill 2 reference.

This thing ain't done yet, whatever the fuck it is.

The folks who are pushing for the entire Konami and Kojima split to have been a hoax are going to have a field-day with this.
