It's really just a matter of preference and how you level up stats later in the game.
I'm at level 30 and pumped most of my points into DEX and STR after choosing the royal, judging from your post you're prolly putting points in evenly. You're really supposed to get certain numbers on stats regardless of class, For example 18 MAG and FAI aren't a bad idea at all to any class since it opens up spells that are useful to everyone, and even if your a mage (or anyone else for that matter) STR should be at least at 22 for the purple flame shield if nothing else.
Right now I'm rocking a compound Longbow +3 and a sharp uchi. Granted the build is a bit more finesse to my liking right now, but dodging attacks and coming in with a strong attack that's enchanted is doing very well for me.
I've played a few megami tensei games, my favorite was nocturne, but I didn't have a chance to play Persona 4. I also traded my PS2 for around 50 bucks to get the PS3 slim. So it seemed like I was gonna miss out on Persona 4.
The Endurance run sounded like a good idea to me, since I heard this game was great and funny plus vinny and jeff's commentary really is a nice bonus.
But the one thing that bothers me is the battles. Right now I'm watching them fight Shadow Teddy after Rise....and man their battle logic isn't up to par. The worst part is I can't even tell them what to fix since it's over....and I'm glad people used the first 50 comments to say, "man it isn't playing!" "DUDER." "FOUND THE URL HAHA GLAD I CAN SEARCH."
Do they get better at the game? I'm not talking shit to Vinny or Jeff, I really like those guys and their sense of humor.
I'm glad they figured buffs are a big part of this game. But they aren't looking at numbers at all...and I mean at all....How hard is it to switch to a higher hitting persona and then use a physical skill? They'll stick with a mage that's too low of a level for them and hit attack and moan and groan about the 40 damage they're dealing and wonder why.
Or they'll go the opposite direction and settle with a guy with literally 10 magic and something like 27 strength and cast agilao over and over. The guy being a Flame Tiger and Teddy casting Ice magic....
Again I'm not talking shit about jeff or vinny just wondering if the fights get smoother for them.
