Have they mentioned anything new on the wolf AI companion? I just remember them saying it's tied to the Twilight Princess amiibo and they showed a brief game play clip. It would be crazy for them to have developed a whole AI for a companion and then lock it behind an amiibo. But it's fucking Nintendo so who knows.

I'm pretty sure it's exactly as you described. I think they're banking on the fact that "hardcore" Zelda fans will surely have bought TP:HD and already have the Amiibo. Also, I'm willing to bet that the concept of an AI follower that helps you in combat is probably a part of the game already - this one will just look like Wolf Link and be summonable at will.

Still quite nervous about how the Wii U version is gonna turn out. Even so, I might pre-order it given Nintendos track record for these things (not that I think it will be sold out, I get the feeling I'm the only owner of a Wii U in Denmark :P)

I am a bit nervous about the fact that I've seen no coverage of this version, up to this point. I wonder if Nintendo hasn't actually sent it out to press.

@sgjackson: Thanks a lot! I really appreciate the feedback. A shame we can't get more of that within the game's comment system - 85 characters don't allow for much constructive criticism.

Loved Sea of Charon, by the way. Excellent use of coins - by the end of the level, I realized the coins had been teaching me where off-screen Thwomps might come from the whole time. Very clever.

I've got a bunch! Hopefully some of you will like some of them.

Hurry Up and Wait - Where patience is rewarded! Sometimes. Maybe. It's in the NSMBU style, but please don't hold that against it.
ED30-0000-006B-D100

Striving for Legitimacy - The original Super Mario Bros holds a very large place in my heart, and I wanted to honor its meaning to me by making a level that I felt would hold up well in the mid-to-late levels of the original game. I don't think I hit that here, but it's the closest I've come.
280C-0000-0057-C011

Simple Challenge 2.0 - A short level with a moderate challenge. Rebuilt from a NSMB level I was making - I felt it just flowed better in the older game's style.
AFA6-0000-0057-CB83

Conquer the Captain! - A few hidden blocks in the right places make this SMW-style level way easier than it appears.
C113-0000-005D-7CA5

Infiltrate the Airship Dockyard - Mario dons a Shyguy disguise in the hopes he can pass through enemy territory unnoticed. It goes poorly.

I have five others up, and I invite you to check them out from my in-game profile if you like, but these are the three that I'm currently proudest of. I have a bunch of other levels waiting in the wings, but sadly I've not yet generated enough love from the community to hit the next tier of upload slots. Now to wonder some of the levels you fine folks have posted here!

@mannymar: Wished for Christopher Lambert, got James Remar instead.

Edit: Shit. I should've just said, "I don't think so."

I've seen Batman & Robin come up a few times, but I think it has a certain charm in that it revels in how terrible it is. I think Batman Forever is way more atrocious, because it feels like they were trying really, really hard with that one.

I would say Zell in Final Fantasy VIII. At least, from his perspective - he'd probably say he was Squall's best friend, whether Squall agrees or not.

I played Banjo-Kazooie for the first time last year, on the Xbox 360. It was a hell of a lot of fun. I'll take more games like that, thanks.

Necessary? Well, for me, yes. I really enjoy watching Markiplier play through them and didn't want it to stop on the third one. I look forward to it! :)

I think that's a really interesting perspective. I think a lot of people forget that some of these youtube personalities are legitimately fun and entertaining to watch, and games like this provide them with more material to entertain you with.

@j_unit2008: That actually sounds fun. I haven't skipped rocks in a long time. Let's all go skip rocks instead of buy Five Night's at Freddy's.
