My PS3 has been collecting dust since my HDTV broke. I got a new one this black friday, and I need to get it fired up again. Last game I played for it was Killzone 2 and didn't beat it. I'm going to be beating that and getting gamefly for the rest. I plan to get beat Killzone then might get KZ3(is it even worth it?). I want to beat the Uncharted trilogy then IDK after that. I haven't paid much attention to the PS3 line-up since. What game do you guys recommend me getting?

So you're renting these all on gamefly, or actually purchasing them?

@Lavapotamus: Might do both depending on how many I should be playing. I was checking the uncharted prices and the first two are pretty cheap.

Well...as long as you enjoy Uncharted's gunplay, then you should be safe with the trilogy. If you've never played any of them though, might wanna rent the first and give that a go -- I was SO effing excited to play that series, but when I finally sat down with it, I hated the combat. The characters were great, I liked the writing and platforming, but I dreaded the plentiful firefights.

Anyway, I think Heavy Rain was my best PS3 experience, but you can probly get by with renting that and playing through once. Demon's Souls is a good idea if you want a lengthy, cheap challenge, too.

Did you want recommendations for multiplatform titles as well, or do you own a 360?

@Lavapotamus: Sorry, I forgot to say I have a 360 so i have been playing multiplatform games. I played Unchated 1, I can deal with the gameplay as a break from MW3. Also just remembered inFamous.

Sengoku Basara, Yakuza 4 and Malicious are some great games that aren't on 360.

Well, not sure exactly what games you like. The PS3 version of FFXIII is probably the best version if you haven't played it on 360 already. inFamous 1/2 are both really good, and God of War 3 is an obvious choice as well.

LittleBigPlanet 2 has flown under a lot of radars, and is still really good. If you are looking for shooters (since you played KIllzone) there's always Resistance 3, which is a very fun entry into the series.
