The way I played it I ended up liking Firewatch a lot, liked how it wrapped up. Put a lot of myself in how Henry would respond or not respond if I didn't like the options. Also fantastic how it accounts for a lot of things. Instead of going for the new walkie talkie I went straight to the fence and got in with the axe. Took my time to take it all in, steam says I played for 6 hours.

I've seen people getting the collectors edition early so of course some people are gonna spoil something very early. I think it's best to stay away from twitter and not even listen to podcasts because some can't hold themselves from spoiling something. Turn on the fog machine and shutdown the internet unless you're downloading the game.

I agree there are a lot more to be desired from a new Halo game. Sadly they've sad there is no more single player content coming, but I'm hoping for some PvE content like firefight will be implemented. Had tons of fun in Reach. I'm playing through on legendary now and I think the companions are even worse, they die all the time and the enemies focus all their fire on me even if Buck stands right in front of me.

Gears of war had some inspirations from Resident Evil 4(camera over shoulder), and a few other games that had cover but with this one they nailed it. I think we'll eventually see someone make a game that takes inspiration and ideas from other games now.

I'm taking the praise with a grain of salt. Having watched the quick look, read reviews I see very little change from the previous Ac games. (I've played them all except rogue). I might pick this up in the bargain bin next year as I still care for this franchise that has so much potential. After so many other great games this year I'll skip it for now. Unity and now Syndicate still look so static when it comes to enemies and gameplay, where is the emergent gameplay?. It can be unfair to expect that, but it's getting old by now how dumb the enemies are.
