@allthedinos: Yeah I mean I would respect a consistency if someone is legit angry about dlc like that but this all just feels like The Gamers need to be mad about something again.

Now if you wade through all of the useless sludge there are a lot of reports of performance problems on the PC release so that's a different matter but most people are just yelling about MTX and in the process making a whole lot of shit up about it.

Happy to see that the developers were not rank cowards, the pawns talk even more now.

I see the game getting immediately review bombed on Steam for its DLC which like fair enough Capcom does dumb shit with it's microtransactions but people sure do conveniently choose when to be mad about it.

On the one hand I’m glad they’re making this game for the people who liked how weird it was and not just chasing the trends.

… On the other a lot of choices they made were not just quirky they were outright bad and fixed in DA and it seems they kept those too.

I’m sure it’ll be a good time but I’ll probably feel it could have used some compromises.

@av_gamer: I mostly just mean that Topcyclist is very good at finding the 3 people down on something out of a 100 praising it and establishing the former as the popular world view.

But yes in a broader sense Rebirth will have the usual extremely popular game moment of all the people who loved it will have finished it and then the wave of people going "Finally.....it's time to talk shit..." will surge for a time.

This is going to result in a why does everyone hate Rebirth thread in like a week I can feel it.

Yeah but I think kind of all Yakuza stories crumble if you think about them too hard. I say this with fondness but it's really a series about enjoying the moment as it happens.

It’s March so this feels absurd to think about but it might still be Balatro come December.

I was thoroughly enjoying this and then three equally long JRPGS jumped me in an alley back to back. P3, Rebirth, and surprise left hook goty contender Unicorn Overlord.

Future releases look bleak too but I will get back to Hawaii someday… I have so many more people to greet on the street.

I would say that if FF7s and XVI are both on your maybe list definitely go with Remake/Rebirth.

I love XVI, had a ton of fun with it.... Rebirth is kind of just a better execution on more or less everything they were going for.
