wanted to get a ps5 before I played this but considering it's still impossible to get one I'll probably start it on my ps4 in the mean time. Super pumped for this game, was easily my most anticipated of the year since they announced it last summer, and I'm even more eager after seeing the positive reception it's getting.
This pop up started appearing on almost every page I navigate to on the site. Clicking "No Thanks" doesn't prevent it from appearing on other pages or on refresh. Clicking "Provide Feedback" produces an error, not that I want to fill any survey out. Hoping something like this appearing is just a bug and not something premium users can expect to see a lot of now because of the acquisition.

Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)
Anderson .Paak - Come Down
Parliament - Flashlight
The Cardigans - Lovefool
Daft Punk, Junior Senior, Run The Jewels, & Devo are all good choices that probably have multiple songs each to choose from. The game needs more funk though... maybe some ska. Would also like to see some more modern indie stuff if it fits.
Honestly I bet choosing songs for this game is way harder than it seems. Each song has to have a super recognizable 32 bar loop and each part, especially the rhythm, probably have to be straightforward and homogenous enough that they will blend with all the other tracks, and obviously they have to be 4/4. I wonder how long before people try to start making their own stems and getting them into the game too.
Hitman was the franchise of the past generation for me and I think 007 inherently has a ton of potential as a video game so I am very excited about this.
That being said, like others have noted there is a lot of clunkiness that is easy to forgive in hitman because of the type of game it is. I think they would have to get rid of those rough edges in a straightforward action game, or try to make it more emergent like the hitman games. I have not played many of IO's previous action-oriented offerings so I wouldn't be sure what to expect if they go that route.
Fuller worlds: Next generation hardware allows No Man’s Sky’s procedural generation to create lusher, richer and more densely populated universes than ever before. Planet surfaces are even more detailed, with thousands more rocks, alien grasses, and exotic flora on screen at any time.
This was always my biggest disappointment in this game, and while this sounds promising, I'm guessing the reality is they just moved some sliders up more and it won't actually make a huge difference or make the dense ecosystems I was always hoping for. The game never ended up being for me but I'll always be impressed by the amount of effort Hello games put into turning the perception of this game around, and it's cool to see them still doing it for no charge.
This is very sad and confusing news. Why go through a through these kind of layoffs right after announcing the acquisition of this arm of the company? And having to expect a confirmation letter for employment, sitting on pins and needles for almost an entire week, what an awful way to handle it. I hope any people affected land on their feet and that CNET, Gamespot, and of course GB can withstand this. It would be awful to see layoffs for GB come from the top considering how independent they have seemed and how well they have adapted to the current situation. I will be crossing my fingers for them all weekend
