Honestly this is totally annoying. I have close to 500 screenshots pending and a number of lengthy text submissions, one of which has been pending for over 24 hours, and they STILL have not gone through. I realize it's the first few days so it's gonna take them a while to sort through everything, but it's especially aggravating to see that others' submissions go through in a few hours (sometimes even a few minutes) while the bulk of mine have been pending for 19 hours or so. I thought it said in the faq that there is a queue and submissions are reviewed in the order that they are received. That is obviously not the case here. I think I'll hold off on submissions until my current subs go through (because once they do, I think I'll be over 1,000 points, at which point I won't have to go through this whole waiting game).


Update: Couple glitches I noticed. Does anyone know how the user rankings work? For example, I have 131 points, and I'm ranked #101 of 10,305, while faustyn has only 75 points and yet, is ranked much higher than me at #54. Also, when I post in the forums, it shows me as having only 2 posts, when in fact I have made 6 or 7...

Yep, It'll take them a while to get through them all. A load of people will have submitted a tonne of stuff. I've got a couple of pages waiting to be created, a couple of reasonably sized text descriptions and a tonne of games I've added to characters, franchises etc. All my stuff I added yesterday has been approved, I hope by tomorrow all of my stuff done today will have gone through.

Give it time, after all that is a lot of work for just 4 guys.

Is it really just the 4 of them? I'm sure they have other staff members. I'm thinking maybe I'll just keep submitting stuff because: a) it couldn't hurt and b) I've got nothing else to do :)

There's the guys upstairs they keep talking about, but they are site admin guys really, not content moderators. I'm sure they could help out if it really gets too much for Jeff, Ryan, Brad and Vinny, but hopefully they'll recruit some moderators before it gets too out of control.

Yeah, my submissions and edits have been pending for a really fucking long time. I guess we just have to bear with them.

mine are also pending for like 22 hours but i understand that it's pretty hard to read every single thing, probably check if it's true and then accept it if there's like literally thousands of those wiki edits. after all it's only 4 guys + maybe a couple more from upstairs.

they're still doing a pretty amazing job.

I have some from over a day ago that haven't gone through.  I'm just afraid that I'll make a lengthy submission, and while it's pending, someone who's already passed 1000 comes and does the same thing and it goes right through.

yeah. i don't understand what is wrong with the points thing. and i hope nothing like Mjolnir mentioned will happen. i would eat my leg then.

Yeah. It seems like they're passing over our stuff, but not hitting approved or rejected. Because I've had stuff sitting in pending for a whole day, and I submitted a screenshot and it was approved in like five minutes. Its weird. And stressful. O_O I wanna know if they rejected my stuff, dangit!

@ el_dude: What I feared would happen, happened. I wrote an article for the Weighted Companion Cube about 24 hours ago, and as its still pending, another is up on the page. This makes me sad, and angry.
