I had this problem with one person on my friends network. He has me on his, but he doesn't appear on mine. I have had no problems with adding other people.

Heroes are one of the mechanics that seperate the smaller, more tactical feel of WarCraft III from the larger, more macro feel of StarCraft. Heroes wouldn't fit into the normal StarCraft model of game play. StarCraft is about huge battles, not the smaller scale battles of War III. A hero would get lost in the shuffle. I am sure there will be use map settings maps that will have custom heroes and buildings to revive them at like in War III, but including them in standard multiplayer would depart from the feel they are going for.
Lets just say that out of my 3 home consoles (Wii, 360, PS3) and my PC I only play my Wii more than my PS3, and that's not hard to do. There are no games announced for the Wii for the rest of the year that I want. Sorry Animal Crossing, but I am not going to pay for the same game 3 times (screw you too Pokemon).
