Lara's boob-physics broke my PC...

well... actually that's an overstatement... But my PC certainly isn't up for running the TR Underworld demo.

Anyway, the story is that I've had a PC around for a while that's not really been running because of a broken harddrive - and I've just gotten around to setting it up again.
After doing the usual standard Windows updates I installed Half Life 2 (and thus STEAM) as the first thing. I noticed the TR underworld demo and downloaded it... Wasn't really surprised that my crap 1 gb PC with a Nvidia 6200 couldn't run it though. However it did amuse me just HOW it didn't run it.

Basicly the game starts and the opening ingame cut-scene runs at a framerate around 3 per second before eventually completly stopping... allmost stopping, anyway...
The fact is that while I'm basicly looking at what might as well be a screenshot, Lara's boobs are actually still bouncing. Not only are they still bouncing, they're are actually bouncing at a fairly high frame-rate unlike the rest of the game... and this bouncing is also rediciously exaggerated.

So this is what I find somewhat interesting, since I feel it gives me some insight into how the game developers has designed the engine.
For all the talk about Lara returning to form and her having her breast-size reduced in Legend, it's apparent that rendering her boobs perfectly is a big priority in this new engine. To a point where it's the ONLY thing my rig is doing.

This also made me imagine the little computer people in my PC dealing with this situation, and it goes something along the lines of this:
"Captain, it can't take anymore!!!"
"But we can't loose the boobs now... Revert ALL power to the boobs!"
"Aye aye captain! Reverting all power to the boobs"

Anyway, I'll probably be able to download the demo for my PS3 eventually. I figure that it will be able to render the game better... and maybe it will even be able to render the rest of Lara.
