My brother's playing online Smash as I was talking about this... and he's against a player named WimpLo.

I'll never understand how this movie has such a low RT score. Nearly everyone I've talked to that's seen it loves it.

I KNOW! Critics can sometimes be so stuck up that they don't realize... being very quotable makes a movie a lot better. There are forty-seven critics on Rotten Tomatoes who didn't like Kung Pow. And that's a lot of nuts!

@bartok

To be fair, comedy sequels are usually a couple to a few years apart. This is near fifteen. There couldbe plenty of new stuff. Plus,the critics hated the first, so I can't imagine the new one being any less funny if we're going by what the critics think. I admit, Kung Pow had some dumb humor. But a lot of it was hilarious.

I don't know about the Chosen One, but personally, I'd love to hear one more freakin' squeak.

Oh, and IMPORTANT NOTICE!

...Let me know... if you see... a Radioshack.

So, this wonderful news is a thing. I loved KP, and I'm really eager for this. I figured a cult comedy deserved a thread for this kind of news.

I love editing. I always seem to enjoy it more than I should. I suppose it makes me feel intelligent.

I just added and edited the full page for 2004 Thunderbirds (GBA), you know, the mediocre game about the hated 2004 film from Universal? Universal, that makes sense that Vivendi Universal was the developer.

The game's not as bad as the movie is hated. The game's OK. Some good level design, some bad design. I've been a Thunderbirds fan for 11 years now, so I still find myself playing it, even though I'd give it 2.5 stars. Thankfully I found YT vids that allowed me to provide sources for the gameplay.

On a personal level, I didn't rate the film for being kind of a poor representation of the show. I though the redesigns for the vehicles were great, and Bill Paxton was a perfect choice for Jeff. Bill's a personal favorite. And I can get passed the "it's a kid's movie, so let's make it about kids" aspect. But Ben Kingsley didn't show his real talent when he could've played an awesome Hood, the minions were stupid, and Bill Paxton stole all the scenes he was in. Plus, the Hood stuck to a generic bad-guy plan. For a movie, the plan should've been more complex. And the movie focused more on the island than the machines, which were hardly an element.

I give both the film and the game 5/10.

Poker, Go Fish, War, Texas Hold 'Em, Pokemon, etc. Let's talk about card games.

My personal favorite is Texas Hold Em. Not sure why, but I guess it's because it's a very personal and psychological kind of game, trying to figure out what everyone's thinking. I'm glad I discovered it watching Casino Royale years ago.

I'm also into Yu-Gi-Oh. I love how strategic it is. The thing that bugs me is that they rarely ever re-issue the same monster, making hundreds of new monsters a year. So there's no real reason to memorize them all.

A graphic novel called Solestar by Siike Donnelly might catch your fancy. Cool superheros and villains, complex philosophical story, and over 60 artists. The more I read it, the more I understand about it. It's a really cool novel.

Oh, I forgot to mention. It is a charity novel for the Naive Project, so expect a few brain aneurysms in the book.
