Last week, I used some of my gaming time to watch the Wasteland "Let's Play" I mentioned previously as well as trying to finish up reading Dragon Age: The Masked Empire. I know novels based in videogame worlds can be really awful, but I have enjoyed the Dragon Age novels, because I have enjoyed the games. Also, I don't get obsessed with lore of videogames I play, but I do tend to want to absorb as much as I can, since that stuff is one of the reasons I play games. :)

Analogue: A Hate Story

I was a really big fan of Digital: A Love Story and thought Don't Take it Personally, Babe, It Just Ain't Your Story was interesting. Therefore, I really want to play the rest of Christine Love's games. I've also been thinking of writing a visual novel of my own, so playing these games is part of my education/preparation.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

I finished Uncharted 3 last week. I liked it more than the second game, but I definitely struggled with frustration on several pieces, as 3 seemed more difficult than I remember 2 being. After beating it, I kind of wished I had just played the game on easy, to spare myself the frustration. I'm not the type of gamer that feels any satisfaction from beating a game on a higher difficulty. The only reason I don't play every game on easy, is because I do get bored if a game is too easy. However, as I've said before, my ideal difficulty is one that challenges me enough to keep me engaged with the gameplay but that I can get through without ever dying or having to restart... I know that's probably absurd to a lot of gamers, but I am just usually into games for the story, characters, and worlds.

The Uncharted series definitely has interesting stories, characters, and settings, so I'm very happy to have played through all of them.

I'm not sure yet when I may buy a Playstation 4, but the next Uncharted may be a big contributing factor to finally buying one.
