I am disappointed. You have all been very kind in replying but all I want is a simple game where I choose my buildings, shops and houses, roads and put them where I want to enjoy building a "model " village or town. I am surprised that with all these highly sophisticated games, a simple programmed to build a model village or town doesn't exist.

Hello I have just joined and am totally ignorant of these games and in need of advice from kindly people before buying.
I find the prospect of town building rather exciting, but find the you tube clips not very helpful.

What I want is to build a modest English type of town, village or seaside town please help:

I want to be able to build without gaming, just build. I have heard of Sim City and City Skyline, can I do this
without playing the game? Would you recommend a different one?

I would like a good selection of houses and shops to choose from and particularly be as realisitic looking as possible would Sim City or City Skyline be better?

Is it online only? Can I not download my town and keep on my computer?

The city building games. Use your imagination

Do not think that expensive is good. Ask people about good value and entertainment value.

What about a city builder or a game of chess with the computer.
