sounds like a SRK Yoga instructor line. I can see it now... Dhalsim: let your mind control your actions, let your actions control your mind.

 Marseilles Roll
Great maneuver for evasion, positioning, and mixup. He’ll roll a different distance depending on what strength is used. This can be swept or thrown if it’s projected.

I love standing HK that with Sagat.. its funny after 3 times attempted :D they usually start wheel kicking the rest of the match :D

@lordofultima: Yeh I like the thick shaft because to me it says sturdy quality plus visually i dont like skinny shafts on sticks just from the look it gives. I researched what you said and I found some mods for the JLF on lizard lick. Thanks once again for those details because I want my first stick after 15 years to be well made and fit like a glove.

I found the bat top sanwa here on Lizard Lick . I see now I can use a sanwa stick and just replace the ball with the bat top. Im pretty please with that stick but i would like to play with it of course :) Reggie @ control freaks is bringing some sticks to show me at this weekends event so i'll see if it simply comes down to what I prefer. I do know I want sanwa because of its rep in response and engagement far as buttons and switchers go. Also whats very import for me is the stick cabinet. I will say without even accepting a debate that control freak makes the design of cabinets i'd like to see myself on soon. The TE stick is good from what everyone says but im not a big fan of the light weight plastic. I prefer a wooden case  if anything. Thanks for the input loltima :) I also went on SRK and checked out some parts threads so now I think I know what I want.

This is an awesome Japanese joystick, using high-quality construction and micro-switches, it is adjustable for 4 and 8 way operation. Ideally suited for metal or wood control panels. Standard mounting hole spacing and Sanwa's screw-on handle design make installation a snap! With .187" microswitch terminals. Similar to the JLW-TM series, but with a much thicker shaft. Includes installed mounting plate, shaft disk and bat handle color of your choice.

$19.95

" Not bad at all!  We cant even put one together for that much because of the labor in the box/finishing.  That's the fun of custom sticks, you get them exactly how you want.  :D "

" We dont run off of a site, we were selling them specifically through the SRK boards for a long while, but I haven't made any in about 4 months.  Theres still half a dozen or so half finished cases in my buddies garage.  LOL!   although i have to say my favorite one to work on was definately this:

Custom Amboyna Stick
Custom Amboyna Stick

We made that one full custom for SRK member GrayHoodie, Amboyna burl case, sanwa parts, custom dual board(360&PS3).  That thing was a bitch and a half to make, and after that we didnt make many more.  Never want to touch a dual board in a stick so small again!  LOL

Check out:
http://www.aiabstore.com/main.sc   I've only ever seen one of their sticks in person, but it was nicely constructed.  They are large, and can give you a custom layout if you want it(including stick/button separation etc).  Also im sure they can do HAPP concave buttons if you like those better.  I dont think there are any jap concave buttons.  you can save money (and lead time) by doing the wiring yourself, if you're doing a PS3 stick theres nothing someone who can read the instructions can't do.  360 board takes a bit more research and some soldering but is also very possible for a hobbyist.   If you get it with a ball top and need a bat top I think i have one laying around here somewhere.  ;)  LOL! "
LOL! thats a custom stick alright lol! I just got off the phone with "Control Freak" and whats awesome is that they are located in dallas as well as I am lol! They also use sanwa and happ plus they are the ones throwing the  absolute battle  event this coming weekend here in dallas so they will have a good amoutn of sticks on display and they range from $100-150. So after talking with Reggie from CF, I figured I may pick up a stick with Happ (8way microswitch) with Sanwa push buttons spread apart from the stick a half inch more than standard sticks. I also got mailed a psd template to do my own custom artwork too! Even better.. Im getting it a dipswitch for xbox and pc use. All for $150 :o

" I've tried a Happ and hated it, the only thing worse was some korean garbage stick someone sent us to put in a custom and it wasn't sprung, it used some foam crap as resistance material.  That thing was just utter garbage, it felt all 'squidgy' and was terribly inaccurate.  Anyway, for sticks that size I'd try arcade in a box, they seem to be the biggest builders from what i've experienced.   The Happ concave buttons are complete junk compared to any Jap buttons, or even the knockoffs IMO.  Although im pretty sure the AIAB guys make a lot of HAPP sticks on par with the SF2 stick i've seen, they're just gigantic.  LOL I've made quite a few customs and empty boxes for them as well, and ive used all the different types/brands of parts, and the best so far have all been Sanwa stuff.  if not for color selection my own stick would have Sanwa buttons, but instead it has some seimitsus in it.  I would browse around the Shoryuken forums trading section and find a reputable builder if you're really interested, theres tons of guys who really know their stuff.  The case designs in my images on this site are pretty consistent with what you'll find from hand built arcade sticks, although several people make larger boxes like the one you posted pics of.  "
whats your site? thanks for the words too :) I definitely know what I want in a stick.. heavyweight, bat stick, dip buttons, microswitch, good amount of space between stick and pushbuttons. If I can find this type of stick with sanwa parts.. im sold.

" @foodchaiNN: The big differences between most American and Japanese sticks are things like stiffness, dead zone sizes, and those clicky microswitches everyone either loves or hates. American Happ sticks are very stiff compared to Japanese ones, and don't have those tactile, clicking microswitches. For me, the combination of the clicking switches and the edges of the square gate help me figure out what I'm hitting and where the stick is; for instance, I have a lot of trouble hitting down/back accurately on a round Happ stick. I guess there are Happ sticks that use switches and click like Japanese ones, but I've never actually used one. "
yeh I just saw a happ stick with microswitches. I would have to test out a happ stick honestly because I like the TE look and size but the control freak sticks says "blast from the past" all over them. Im not sure how many people here owned arcade sticks for Sf2 for super nintendo like I did back in the days but if you did your research, you'll find that they were a lot heavier and bigger back then and if im not mistaken.. they were probably happ parts. the flat button ball stick is a japanese thing and Happ parts were rare to see in the UK but amazingly graced in the arcade and I remember players forced the arcade tech to change out the ball sticks for the happ parts. Im a guile player so I need a bat stick to feel my palm on the board face compared to my failed times using a ball stick having to oddly hold the stick back/down with my thumb and pointer finger in a weird "C" formation around the ball. So i think what the deal is.. I may want a TE stick with a happ stick and maybe the midway push buttons too "WITHOUT" microswitch because I find it highly annoying to hear pushbuttons click.
