It's time for.... CORRECTIONS!

Vinny is incorrect, XCOM Chimera Squad does have full controller support, since day one.

I've been playing it with an XBOX One controller.

Huh, I couldn't get it to register an Xbox One controller in Big Picture mode from my Steam link and the game pops up the whole "Not Designed with Controller Support" warning when I launch it. Got it working with my Steam controller pretty well though.

I got an Xbox One controller working with it over Steam Link, more or less. You can use the right stick as mouse and right trigger as mouse button to get through the launcher, but even after the game starts you're left with menus that definitely weren't designed for controller.

It's times like this I regret not hopping on that $5 Steam Controller blowout sale.

Kinda. Technically an Xbox controller works, but none of the menus have controller prompts and it's quite a clunky experience.

comment sections were a mistake

As ever. I was considering posting "STFU" about six times, but this is probably a more mature reaction.

What do you think the real estate cost is in the Hellified Zones?

A lot. Satan runs a tech startup and he pays well.

I'm very much a cover and snipe shooter player, so Doom isn't really my thing, but I appreciate that they've doubled down on the nonsense. "1UP" made me laugh.

Well, this sucks.

For all his hilarious and mysterious gaps in basic human knowledge, Dan is an impressive person. He's always known what he wanted, worked hard, and basically willed his dreams into existence. I wish I had had his motivation in my 20s.

Good luck. He'll be missed.

And man you guys glossed over a lot of story points. The part with preventing Amelie destroying the world was that sam was given a gun with bullets soaked with his blood, just like the grenades, which was theoretically supposed to work on her, but didn't because nobody knew if it did. The hugging part happened to snap Amelie out of the thought that extinction was the only outcome, which caused her to sever the connection between her beach and the living world in order to save it, which included kicking sam out hence he was stranded on another beach waiting for deadman and crew to figure out how to save him. The reveal with Mads being his father worked because through all of the world wars/vietnam boss fights you thought sam was protecting bb from being taken away by mads, but it's actually Mads making contact with sam.

Yeah they seem kinda stupid discussing this game. Both Vinny and Alex are really condescending towards people liking the game. I totally loved every bit of the story and the way they talk about it makes it seem that everyone who likes the story is an idiot.

I dunno, my reaction to that is not "Wow, GB seems stupid leaving out these important story points." My reaction is "Wow, Kojima is a bad writer."

If you're into, it cool, but don't be offended when other people don't share your opinion.
