Congrats on the baby , I'm sorry to hear about the health issues but am glad for the positive prognosis.

I'm a 33 year old father of 2 ( 5 year old boy, he's nuts- 2 year old girl, she is almost as nuts but cuter)

I'm in a very similar situation to you , but I can have a very long commute ( upwards of 2 hours + per day) but that's the construction industry for you.

And yes gaming habits did change, I'm not an outdoorsy person as I Spend most of my days outdoors year round. Now I have to try and make sure my children get fresh air and get their energy out, and also I try not to be one of those parents that's spends time looking at their phone instead of their kids.

Nintendo has been the system of choice for the times I want to play games when the kids are awake, or Lego games( I am done with Lego games now).

I played through MGSV when it came out in 2 hour chunks when the kids were in bed from 7-9.

But I returned witcher 3 since I just don't have the time to play it.

My iPad is now full of counting, letters, and reading games.

It was harder at the beginning, but I adjusted my habits to keep it in my life , giantbomb helps with their quick looks since I can keep up on games without playing everything now.

I'm a carpenter working for a general contractor , I tend to get opportunities to do a lot of different things in construction. I've been able to work on form work on smaller bridges to house hold renos to 6 story wood frames buildings to building a playhouse for a habitat for humanity charity with my current gig being a trial assistant super job on a new jaguar/land rover dealership.

I get to work alongside all sorts of tradesmen from all ethnicities and my day can consist of anything from making sure a site is clean, to framing , to concrete form work , to dry walling , to finishing work, to installing structural steel, to working with machine operators for excavating

And grading.

I enjoy my job but the hours and commuting can be killer. I'm luck to be working 3 mins from my house right now but last year I was spending a minimum of 2 hours in the car which makes it hard with 2 small

Children .

@ntm:

Yes I quite enjoyed the game, I like the setting and the characters, and the overall premise.i enjoyed the feeling of the guns and using them. The stealth sections were in offensive enough not to spoil anything.

The disappointment came more from seeing a glimpse of a cool overall story. And then it's over.

Which I should have expected

Given its a new IP and bound to be sequelized but that disappointment was still there and felt more profound because there was the barest of resolutions to anything that had happened.

Anyway I'm excited to play this assassins creed especially after how disappointing unity was I didn't even manage to finish it.

@ntm: I just finished 1886 and after that I can use me some more Dickensian action adventure. But I can't pick this up until the wife is done marking for the semester. After basically buying launch day for everyone of the series, the combination of ac revelation ,ac3, and unity had me gun shy to the point where I wasn't even going to look at this game until a week after reviews were out. I'm glad it's got some positive buzz.

On a side not was it just me or did 1886 have pretty much zero plot resolution, I feel like I just bought 1886: ground zeroes. Glad I got it for 20 $
