Games that have stolen chunks of my life

Games that have taken huge chunks of time for me to complete, either due to massive content, difficulty, or my general inability to play these games. Some of them are here because I have played through them multiple times.  Most are awesome, and many are recent.

List items

  • I got this game on SNES as a gift, having no clue what an RPG was of HP, or MP, or XP. Played for a couple weeks, gave up FOR YEARS, then came back and brute forced my way through it. I like Dark Knight Cecil, even if he is kind of a moody goof.

  • In the middle of a second playthrough, and the story is still awesome. It feels good to become a Spectre. The Mako still sucks.

  • Me to my RPG savvy friends: "So I can't fight the Weapons now? Why not?"

    Them: "You'll die"

    Me: "I'm gonna try" (Death)

  • Awesome. Just Awesome. Maybe my favorite of all time. I want an HK unit to call me "meatbag".

  • Jobs? Why do RPG characters need jobs? What the hell is this? What's a Geomancer? I want everyone to be a monk!

  • I miss you, Edit Team. You were awesome.

  • I took Duke through multiple undefeated seasons here. Too bad I now root against the Dukies to piss off my friends.

  • Sunk hours and hours into this without ever playing the main quest. Never was interested. I did command all the guilds though. Good stuff.

  • I liked this game, but it hated my stupidity and punished me for it.

  • With DLC and a desire to see more of this world, this will move up the list soon. Thane Krios is the man, or the drell, as it were.

  • Another that will move up, as I havent't played any of the DLC yet, and am currently running 4 different class characters on my profile. I miss TK Baha and Scooter already.

  • Repeated plays on multiple difficulties with a crew of friends. The Warriors came out to PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!
