Cynical as I am most of the time (the times the world isn't telling me its more cynical than me), I think the wisest course would be to call samaritans... give them his number, then never mention the dude again.  All this coverage I've seen on gaming websites is almost like validation of his 'cause'.  It's almost a given that someone this ... erm ... passionate and dedicated has read some of it.

The kid needs help... not spectators.  Hope he gets it.  (the first one).

Heh that's got to be a calculated move... the first real Bioware dialogue is that they are improving the level design.

I really hope Bioware dials back the PR from 11 this year... some of it for Mass Effect was so close to outright lies it was unreal.

(I enjoyed the game, just not the spin)

I wonder what he'd say about the Ladyhawke MMO Garriott is working on?  There is definately evil in that concept.

From the clue there is really only one logical possibility.  MimeHero... Phelps does mime, with your help of course.

'Using a combination of four coloured buttons on a tiny mannequin you make sure he can open doors or bump into windows correctly.  Play as Phelps as he works his way up from the street corner to just outside McDonalds.  Dare you face the challenge of pulling a ladder out of a case... One wrong move and he starts to look like a wally.'

Can't wait...

I'd have gone for an inverse katamari... you play as a cheese grater with legs (a bit like Dizzy) and have to reduce the universe to dorito dust to appease the Mother Of All Hangovers.

Everytime I see news on this game it somehow re-affirms why this hobby is... well... great.  Looking back it's amazing how many of the games that make me feel like that have had Schafer's name on the box.

It's normally about now I try to hold my expectation in check, but I'm just hoping more people get to play this one... and that marketing departments don't infect it with synergy.

More content and a better fleshed out Co-Op that perhaps opens up additional missions or story would be cool.  However I'm not too sure realtime worlds would want to divert custom away from APB after it's release, as this would no doubt end up competing with it's own subscription based mmo.
