I'm getting increasingly hyped for this. Some great stuff coming including:

• Multiple commanders per ship (drop-in, drop out gameplay)
• Full bounties for every human crew member (or wing member if in a wing)
• Up to two human controlled fighters out
• All new external (and internal!) camera for showing off your ship
• New passenger ship (Dolphin)
• Ship names!
• Megaships - large mobile vessels that you can dock with (sadly not fly. Maaaaaaybe own in future?)
• Various other bits and pieces

Only things I'm a bit bummed about is no multicrew capability with SRVs just yet and the fact you can't have wings of multicrewed ships.

We sat and chilled at the Lave Radio this evening while their podcast went out. I buzzed around in an FDL and Embryo brought a couple of Cobras (the police seemed determined to extract him from them it seems)

Hello spacefriends!

It's almost time for the Alliance Tournament again, and this year a number of us in Kite Co. will participating as a part of the Brave team.

What is the Alliance Tournament?

The AT is an annual event organised and streamed by CCP that pits a number of teams from various EVE alliances against one another for fun and profit. Each team selects their composition of ships up to a point total, before duking it out in an arena.

What do these matches even look like?

As an example of what's coming, take a look at the 2013 Final between PL and Hydra:

Has Brave ever fielded a team before? What are the odds?

This is the first year that we've entered into the tournament, and as such we're a bit of an unknown quantity. The team itself has been working hard, and has some good tactics and ship compositions down - to the point where it's been fun looking at our odds on EVE-bet dramatically improve as word gets around of all the work that's being put in (for the first match, we're currently 1.68 to our opponents 1.94).

When is all this happening then?

15th & 16th August - Qualifier matches (will be streamed, just without studio production or commentary)
