the Kinect as a piece of tech is fantastic. But its usefulness in games is questionable. Even if the sensors work perfectly, how many high quality games can you make from it? BTW Fantasia is amazing and if you have the Kinect you should totally pick it up!....as it is one of the few games that work well. That and D4.

Yep! More excited for this then Fallout at the moment. My games have been oversaturated with open world style games for the past few months lol. That and I really enjoyed the first one. Ill get fall out next month for 20 bucks when all of my xbox rewards go through.

Yeah a shame it is not a well known thing. But it is designed to be that way.

Just wanted to add a few points of what I think is going on.

MS is pushing 10 so hard because this is the next step for them. They are moving more to the service aspect of things. And 10 just lets the services go everywhere a bit easier. That and well the numbers look good to investors I'm sure. Hell everything they are doing now is more service based. Even Xbox is now only looked at as a service with Live. Not systems. (Yes fully aware that the numbers of Ones sold is sad compared to PS4)

Windows 7 is almost done if I remember right. IE no more security updates. So yeah for the layman who does not know better....ummm a forced 10 upgrade may be better for them. You know, so that their watching porn and or kitty videos, and you know, credit card info does not get out. As has been pointed out here, the average user does not know better. They are using a tool. They don't know how that tool works. They just expect it too.

Most press have praised 10s functionality. Yes user data being recorded is shocking and bad!...wait no its not. Every OS out there does this. And for one reason. It makes the user experience so much better with that little thing in the TOS. Not to long ago Google had a big thing with Chrome and Android having something in the TOS that basically said, Hey we are taking EVERYTHING you do and storing it! Mostly so when you log into Chrome or android everything you did shows up on the other device. Convince!

With out that wording in TOS's we would NOT have the multiple devices everything connected systems we have now. Just keep that in mind before we start yelling fire.

Anyone going to be trying to get a ticket to see the show? I'll be there trying. And I hope to get in, as there is a chance that you'll also get a E3 pass as well. Would be sorta cool and a good way for me to spend my last few months in the la area.

I think the service aspect of 10 is the biggest highlight. If the vision they keep talking about pulls through, they could get a lot more people on the phones, more One sales, more indie developers, just over all a smoother game eco system. And that means more competition , that is a very good thing. As Sony being so far a head with system sales could hurt (us) in the long run.

Hell maybe even some small competition with Steam, tell me, would you get a game on steam, or get it through Microsoft's store if you also got it on your Xbox one, and phone\tablet?

Biggest fear I have is that so much is resting on getting the game developers to hit that check box to make it work on 10s cross system, or bringing the App Store and Play Store apps over. Sure Microsoft has made that as easy as copy pasting code now, but there is this engrained hate for MS that people may just shrug everything they do off and ignore it. That may be MS biggest challenge. Changing perceptions.

Nope not yet. Early preview on PC will be out in a few months, Xbox one will have it by summers end, and phones will have it by years end.

Why was this topic moved to the pc board?
