Hey guys,

I was just wondering if there was a Giant Bomb pCARS group that regularly play online? If not, would anyone on here fancy starting one? I've played against the AI for going on 100hrs now, and finding good online lobbies without griefers (even on ESL) is difficult.

Just an idea, not a clue how to go about doing it, but it'd be good to get a gauge of interest!

If anyone would like to play, I'm Captain Condescending on Steam, I'm a student so I'm free most of the time, and I'm in the UK.

@rethla: "Bruteforcing it" works with every other game on the market!

@cornbredx It just seems like it runs way worse than they could have made it! There are plenty of games with ridiculously high res textures that run far better than this!

@colourful_hippie: My PC is probably around 8x as powerful as a PS4, so it should be able to handle higher resolution textures (and it does - the "high" preset ones are much higher res than the consoles have), but this games uses more than it seems as though it really needs considering how it looks. It looks nice, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't look THAT nice!

@rethla: Yeah but it will be more noticeable at a higher resolution.

@westernwizard: Yeah maybe, although that seems like it would be a total waste no matter what res you're playing at! Except for screenshots maybe.

@hunkulese I'm just using the Nvidia control panel "force alternate frame rendering" option to force the SLI, and yeah I'm sure they just put it out because it sounds impressive :L

And Yeah @westernwizard maybe it is noticeable at 4k, but i've not seen any reports about it and I don't have a 4k monitor... yet... :P

Yeah I did know that, and the difference is still barely noticeable at 1440p!

So many games have released recently that use massive amounts of video memory for no apparent reason!

For a 1440p monitor user with a pair of GTX 780s, it's really frustrating having to lower texture resolutions etc just so I don't get stutters!

Can anyone on here provide a reasonable explanation as to why these games perform so badly?

After Listening to a lot of Alt-F1 I realised there isn't much racing game (especially F1) content on YouTube!

So I started a channel!

Anyone with some suggestions for videos/series I should post??? I'm doing these intros to F1 tracks before each race weekend because that's something Danny and Drew are always doing on Alt-F1, and a video would probably help!

So does anyone have a good setup for the Xbox 360 controller in Assetto Corsa?

I'm using a setup at the moment that pretends it is a racing wheel, but that means no vibration, and it's still not perfect.
