Whatever it is, I really hope it's a job that gets him in front of a camera or microphone. Really love listening to Drew talk about stuff that interests him.

I agree. While we all know and love his production chops, and he really showed that side with Cloth Map, I actually enjoy his personality more than the other sides. He's a really cool guy and I'm always interested to hear what he has to say.

Performance does affect how a game looks as well as how it plays. I find some games unplayable as well as unpleasant to look at if they drop frames every time I pan the camera over a particular asset for instance (something I'm super susceptible to). It's really disruptive to me; it makes my brain hurt for real. When a PC game has that issue, there's a chance of fixing it, and I have gotten used to that luxury. If it's an issue in a console game, it's not always so fixable, even with the handy performance mode options a lot of games have.

I struggle to enjoy games visually if there's a lot of performance issues that result in tearing or pop-in or other issues that absolutely affect how good a game looks. Some games just look bad, but bad performance makes them look worse.

I haven't played the PS4 version of SR3 myself so can't comment on that.

Performance DOES affect how well a game plays, absolutely. But watching Jeff play Saints Row the Third, the framerate was rock solid and never anything close to "unacceptable" or "doesn't run super well" and nowhere near unplayable and if you watch the Quick Look, you see that it's absolutely 100% completely playable.

Nah, I disagree. He's right. Went back and looked at the footage and the performance was in fact not rock solid, it looks like it didn't run super well.

So... what the hell are they doing with 12 hour days? The game is done, as far as I know they're not making new maps? I would have guessed they were only doing backend work (stability, netcode) and making new character skins for people to spend money on. And I guess localizing for new territories. None of that sounds pressing enough to put an entire developer in permanent crunch.

There's pleeeeenty to work on, every single day in a game studio. Much of it is things an end user won't even see.
But honestly they are working on content. As recent as April 17 they released two new limited time modes (Air Royale and Food Fight), a new rifle and tons of changes. Naively thinking the developers aren't doing anything doesn't line up with reality. If you look at the changelog, you can see that they routinely release pretty major updates every week or so.

To test your browser, try enabling and disabling Hardware Acceleration, should be in settings in Chrome. See if it makes any difference on/off in fullscreen.

Another thing I'd consider is if you have another GPU - for instance a built-in integrated Intel HD Graphics card - perhaps the stuff is running on the wrong card. That happens with laptops sometimes.

Oh come on, Two Worlds was never terrible per se. It was just middling. Especially the sequel (and I can understand why you liked it!)

Once Upon a Time in America

Seen it before, but I was just a kid back then. This time it was more.. striking.
Great setting and mood. Really well shot. The type of characters in this film - people with a moral gray scale instead of just good or bad - is really refreshing compared to many other films of the same scale.
The soundtrack is also incredible. That horrible scene when the kids run from their nemesis in the alley.

I enjoyed the game, it really mixed up the expectations I had. The game was solid all the way through and didn't outstay its welcome.

The fact that we could share the (30$) pricetag also helped. Good solid game if you're looking for a coop experience.

I loved Septerra Core, it was surprisingly deep!
