so when i upload videos my  vids come as quick time files and wont work in movie maker.  Help !!!!!

You will need to get some sort of conversion software. A quick Google search of "quicktime wmv converter" should get you the software you need.

If you're worried about that, I suggest you ask around on a specialist forum, those guys will probably know the best tools to use.

Conversion software cannot damage your computer.

Unless you run it for hours on end with an uncooled CPU.

Regardless, try messing around on your video camera for "recording format" or something.

If you install K-Lite Codec Pack, Movie Maker works with loads of other formats. Not sure about quicktime, though. My camera uses .mpg.
