I get that representation has been non-existent in the past and still somewhat problematic today, but wanting to right history's wrongs by re-casting well established characters as a different race is lazy and pandering and ultimately doesn't serve anybody.

I've owned a Secret Lab Titan for about a year. If there's a waiting list to get one, I could see why. It's the best chair I've ever owned. I've had a cheap Staples office chair and a DX Racer chair in the past. Besides the comfort I like that the Secret Lab chairs aren't garishly styled like a lot of gamer chairs are.

@fateofnever: I got in for a bit last night. I made an undead warlock and it was super annoying to have hundreds of people running around trying to kill the same 5 starting enemy types to finish the quests. I'm thinking that might die down over time, but we'll see.

I get annoyed when I hear people call gorillas and chimps monkeys, but I realize it's an irrational pet peeve of mine. You're doing great work, keep it up. If your boss asks what you're doing you can tell them you're making a sign for an exhibit.

Are you an arcade stick enthusiast and just wants to add one to your collection? Then sure, go for it. If this is your first arcade stick or you're coming back to fighting games after a long break there are cheaper alternatives that are just as good at almost half the price. I'm currently using the Hori Fighting Edge. It has a sleek brushed aluminum body, touch panel, proprietary Hayabusa buttons which either will or won't be to your liking. It goes for around $200 or less. I've heard good things about the Qanba Obsidian as well and I believe that is a similar price range.

Trying to learn Tekken 7 and replaying Wolfenstein: The New Order. What I'm realizing is that while The New Colossus definitely had the more memorable story beats, The New Order had more memorable combat scenarios. Also for some reason, I started playing FFXIV, so we'll see how that goes.

Final Fantasy XI, easily. My game time would be measured in days, not hours. I played from the NA launch on PS2, transitioning to PC at some point. I was way into it from 2005 until about 2011-ish, have taken some breaks and come back to it every so often.

I've got one of the Logitech PowerPlay mouse pads and a Lightspeed wireless mouse. The pad charges the mouse so there's no need for a dock, and they claim their Lightspeed tech is faster than many wired gaming mice. It's a great combo.

Same. I use the PowerPlay paired with a Logitech Pro wireless. Switching to a mouse that light took some getting used to but now that I have, I love it. A true wireless mouse with no detectable lag that never needs batteries.

The only thing I find distasteful is how unoriginal of a premise hunting "the most dangerous game" is in 2019.

So I guess my question is, do people really value this? When that Death Stranding trailer was released was the hype from people who are intellectually excited to see what Kojima has got planned for us next, or was it more a Hobbs And Shaw level of "Oh this is going to be so fucking dumb but I'm super into it" kind of hype?

Because honestly I can't tell any more.

For me, it's definitely the latter. Kojima's games are his own unique brand of weirdo bullshit but they're wrapped in a game that is actually fun to play, so I can't hate on the guy too hard. Searching for deeper meaning in his games though? Nah, don't do that. You can analyze the crayon scribbles of a small child to find the meaning of life or our place in the universe, but it doesn't necessarily make it so.
