I haven't played Dead Space 2 since it released but I do remember preferring the singular, enclosed setting of the first game. Hopefully you enjoy it more than I did.
The first Dead Space was the high water mark of the series to me. Dead Space 2 and 3 were both enjoyable but didn't have that same magic the first one had. Although general discourse around the 2nd Dead Space is very high, I just didn't love it.
Hi Rorie, here's my GOTY list. Keep up the great work you do and congrats on getting married. (not sure if you remember but I had the pleasure of meeting both of you in 2018. I was from Pittsburgh and we got really really drunk. I don't remember much else about that night). Anyway, here's my list. Peace! Top 11ish Games of 2020 (giantbomb.com)
Sea of Thieves - Similar to Overwatch, I got back into Sea of Thieves in a big way this year. As long as my friends and I keep playing it certainly has a chance to be on my GOTY list every year.
Tetris Effect Connected - I played Tetris Effect on PSVR last year and came away disappointed. Playing the game this year on Xbox Series X at 4k/60fps and with a quality headset was a shocking difference in the best way possible. It's an example of better visuals leading to a much more enjoyable experience.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons - I enjoyed my time with Animal Crossing: New Horizons but I didn't stick with the game for nearly as long as I thought I would. The quality of life changes were welcomed but the crafting, island hopping via Dodo airlines, and island construction just didn't do it for me.
