I haven't watched the main event of Takeover Blackpool yet but the show started with 2 terrific matches, 1 not good match and then had a great match leading into the main event. I'm excited to watch the main event but NXT UK still needs more time to grow and find their own style.

I will be checking the show out either tonight or tomorrow. I'm excited to see it.

There is a Nigel documentary after Takeover Blackpool today so that's most likely worth staying around for after the show. On NXT UK, they need some time to find themselves. They shows we've been seeing haven't really been able to set up longer stories because of how the recording went. I think with the next set of tapings they are doing they will be caught up in the ones they've done so far. I think give it a year and it will be just as good as NXT with some different flavor to it.

I didn't grow up with Mean Gene but going back and seeing all that he did these past couple of years since I got back into wrestling was a really cool thing. I got bummed out when I heard it but watching all of the old clips was a nice way to deal with the sadness I felt. I'd crack open a cold one for him but I'm on a cleanse from booze after I overdid it on NYE.

"Black's bells just got jingled!" is my favorite Mauro line from NXT last night. So far anyway.

@internetdotcom: That's not even the best news from the taping though: IT'S GONNA BE THE BEST RUSEV DAY EVER!!!!! TIME FOR RUSEV TO BECOME HIS CHARACTER FROM SOUTHPAW FOR REAL THIS TIME!!!!

@dizzyhippos: I wonder what the taped Smackdown next week will be like. The crowd most likely won't be dead but who knows.

@dizzyhippos: I read the spoilers as well and they are definitely phoning it in next week. I'm not sure how they'll fill three hours with that stuff.

I hadn't watched a WWE PPV in a while but I did watch TLC last night. I really enjoyed the show overall but I missed Buddy/Cedric. I didn't think any of the main show matches were terrible but I didn't care about Seth/Dean at all. I'd give the show a B overall.
