I had to use equations, statistics, and other science methods to arrive at my list. I can't say I am happy with the results because science has no bias.
1) I like the art direction - even if it's being played up as 'controversial'. I enjoy Wayne Barlowe, and am definitely interested in a game heavily influenced by his work. 2) I like God of War - and this follows that formula exactly. It won't get credit for creativity as far as gameplay is concerned, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun. 3) I like Visceral Games - I thoroughly enjoyed Dead Space, so I don't see why I wouldn't want to give this a shot. 4) A video game simply can't tarnish the reputation of classic literature. Ten years from now, no one will care if someone made a game loosely based on this book. 5) The demo was fun.
I'll buy it, but probably not on release day. I'll wait until it hits $30 or maybe just gamefly it.
