@iDarktread: To clarify, I had no doubt that this is mostly likely a new pokemon feature, I'm just really unsure as to whether or not you really think that this is a game-changing thing that should convince people to buy the game. Rather, I think it's something that's awesome for people who like pokemon, but if you don't like pokemon no way in hell would looking at them convince you to buy the game.
Ok....? If superficial changes are enough to make the experience somehow magically more modern despite the fact that the core gameplay is still the exact same, then more power to you.

I know, but all of the major changes mentioned (better sprites, 3v3, whatever this thing is) doesn't really change what pokemon is. I still feel like it's an "if you like what pokemon does" thing, and they haven't really innovated or changed anything significant at all.
I'm amazed that he seems to enjoy even nerfed things like the Y menu and the now crappy PC system. And remember when the day care guy used to CALL you rather than just yell at you?
