  • One of the best RPGs of all time. The DLC cemented CDPR as masters of storytelling.

  • Despite it's meme status, Undertale has too much heart and charm to have my memories sullied by its admittedly overbearing fanbase. The anti-Witcher 3, Undertale was just simply refreshing after this year's heavy hitters.

  • Could've been no. 1, but the story, mission structure, grind, and microtransactions ruin an otherwise PERFECT action-stealth game.

  • Still playing it. Up there with Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and Halo 3 for best multiplayer of all time. With the introduction of mutators and other free updates it continues to impress.

  • The closest thing to a modern Snatcher we're ever going to get. The characters are memorable, the art is amazing, and the soundtrack is poppin'. This is also the game world that I most want to become my real life.

  • My gateway into the wonderful world of modern CRPGs. It has some real problems with pacing and final act, but Obsidian still knows how to make a solid ass RPG.

  • This one is obvious. Despite its lack of options for people without irl friends who play, it's an amazing time and just knowing it exists makes me warm and fuzzy inside.

  • To echo what everyone already knows: This is a Bethesda game and comes with all the baggage that implies. It's janky, the story is bad, the animations are bad, and it's rpg-lite (moreso than ever), but there's still that dynamic world and some pretty great moments within. Those moments feel fewer and far between in this entry though and I'm reaching a boiling point with their fucked up Frankenstein engine. The next Beth game needs BIG change or I think I'm waiting a few years for a sale.

  • The most into a "modern" adventure game I've ever been in. Some of the twists were dumb, but the friends made along the way were worth it...

  • A really cool thing that I hope doesn't become the next new "flavor of the month" for other games to emulate. Trying to read the performances and figure out the ambiguous story was very Serial-esque. FMV GOTY (sorry Contradiction!)
