Very nice to hear the newest staff member criticizing other outlets' Games of the Year 2021. This site sure is among the last bastions of true critics.
After playing Sleeping Dogs, I lost all interests in ever purchasing and playing a Rockstar open world game. Sleeping Dogs makes one feel like a relatively grounded badass while them lot at Rockstar are too busy building out their detailed worlds to put anything remotely fun to play in those.
Thank you for reminding the internet yet again: the story in the Last of Us is not as good as you all think it is. It's a zombie story so boil plate that, by all account, not even as novel as some Resident Evil games.
CD Projekt's 13 million number is up to December, 20th. They can count one less as I requested a Steam refund of Cyberpunk 2077 on the 21st. The first several minutes just felt so offputtingly "Bethesda" to me that I just don't want to spend time and hard drive space on it anymore.
Yeah, Darren Korb and Greg Kasavin were totally robbed on the Game Award's Best Performance. Cunninghum only nominated for Hades is a robbrey regardless. Two were from the Last of Us Part II, guess mo-cap has a leg up there, huh.
Got to say, the exclusion of Dark Knight at launch felt like a serious oversight to me, who only know Granblue through the animated adaption. The character is shown as a formidable sword fighter, yet they are not in your licenced fighting game? OH, COME ON!
