Also your mention of My Cousin Vinny reminds me of a buddy who firmly believes in a Forest Gump pinball machine. Collect shrimp to make dishes, have a ping pong upper playfield toy, run across the country, etc

First of all I appreciate Jeff explaining what the game would be compared to most pinheads who name a theme but don’t say what it should be

I like some of your choices. Beetlejuice would be great. A lot of people have started throwing out The Fifth Element which could be great. I’m not into Peewee but a lot of people ask for it

Now for some other choices. I never heard anyone mention Hackers, but I love the idea. It’s Always Sunny seems like a no brainer. Think about the fun of “god damn it multiball” where it’s just a million call outs of “god damn it” every time you hit something

Personally my dream themes include Jaws, Dragon Ball Z, and Pokemon.

Jaws would have a shark head pop up from the playfield to eat the ball, an Orca ship mini playfield that “sinks” making it accessible from the regular flippers, and a lower playfield of drop target swimmer legs. I think you should get to either hunt the shark or be the shark and cause a ruckus. I spend a lot of time thinking about what this game could be

Dragon Ball Z is anime wrestling with over the top villains, so it lends itself well to Pinball’s structure. I’d love to see a loop shot like on No Fear that looks like Snake Way. Maybe some sort of King Kai training mode where they make the flippers weaker to simulate high gravity training.

Pokémon seems like a homerun theme for pinball rules. Catch them all and beat the elite four for “The Very Best” multiball. They could do interesting things like having you swap out different Pokémon to take advantage of things like fight a grass Pokémon with fire to quickly finish the fight, or do it with a water that would be more difficult to win but you’d get more points for it

I’m getting into homebrew pinball and stated to retheme an old game into a Run the Jewels game. It’s not very special, but it’s a way to learn a lot of stuff I would need to know when I build the Jaws machine Stern never will.

Anyhow. This was my pinball rant.

This is one of those kinds of games I think I played, but then remember it was just a demo. I doubt I missed much and this doesn’t really change my mind.

Thanks Rdawg for streaming this game. Probably my most favorite series as a kid. I dream of a new one. Maybe with more fleshed out squad mates ala XCOM

I think the weird exercise device is a "rodeo chair exercise machine"

Sorta like those weird hula dance inspired American office chairs that oscillate
