Okay, so I know that my bottom two aren't strictly titles from 2010 but in my eyes they proved themselves this year! These are the 10 games I enjoyed the most this year.

Never have I invested so much time into an action title before, I was totally immersed in this title to the point where I S-Ranked it without even setting out to do so; My completing it was just a by product of my enjoyment of it, something I cant say for most games.
I don't know wheteher it was the suprisingly deep combo-system, the thrill I got from timing my dodges perfectly or the fact that the game was FUCKING INSANE! But Bayonetta gripped me and took me on a ride that I am still riding now. (got to beat the secret boss!)

This would have been number one if it werent for the fact that it definitely came out in 2009, however I have played more of this game in 2010 than in 2009 and I feel that with the great DLC and the amazing 'Game Of The Year' edition released this year; this game earned its stripes in 2010. So I guess it's my '2010; 2009 GOTY', This is the only other game apart from Bayonetta that I have gotten pure joy from, playing it with my friends and my brother has been a blast this 2010 and I still havent finished! welcome to an honorary number 2!

I love this game. I know it has its flaws, but I encountered them all but a few times on my three travels through the Mojave wasteland. Infact other games proved to be buggier, but more on Red Dead later.
I personally thought that this Game offered a better experience than Fallout 3, I prefer the story, the characters and the abundant humor. F3 was a much more depressing experience and seemed to take itself far too seriously at times, with minor improvements; the companion wheel, gun mods; and armed with Hardcore and Wild Wasteland I had more fun playing with the game and thats what this game was for me these last few months FUN!

I am not a fan of the story, it could be described as paper-thin and no one would really disagree. It also seems to disregard the events of galaxy 1 completely... However the gameplay is amazing, the levels are much better and more ambitious, the controls etc. etc. et cetera... I guess what I'm trying to say is it builds on its previous sucesses to make what is ultimately a better game. The reason it is not number 1, the same reason as New Vegas; it is not new enough, just more of a good thing.

I know its not exactly new, but my god! The best pokemon game ever being remade into the best pokemon game ever? Okay... so Kanto kinda sucked, but as far as I am concerned the original GSC trio did more for the series than ANY OTHER TITLES until SSHG, featuring two key item slots and streamlined menus; it greatly improved the pokemon touch-screen experience to playable standards; The pokewalker, well that gimmick escaped me but C'mon its POKEMON!

No more elevators, better shooting, more streamlined... did I mention no more elevators?
We all know how great this game is, if you dont then you suck.

I know this game is amazing, but I stoped playing it prematurly. I felt like it had the makings of a great game but I saw pretty much every bug going and I got pissed off. There are only so many coyote women and horse men I can take before the flying people do a poo on my head, as I ride my cariege twice the size of a barn.
I am currently replaying it after some heavy patching and have fallen in love again! This game SHOULD be higher but C'mon Pokemon beats Cowboys right?

I hate this game, never have I hated a Final Fantasy game more than I hated the first 10 hours of FF13... but suddenly out of nowhere it became good. I love the Final Fantasy and I am generally tollerant of JRPGs but oh my, all this blabber about the L'cie and Fal'cie or Orphan, The story sucks. But the gameplay was a breath of fresh air for the series and I will miss it, why will I miss it? Because Square-enix have a tendency to change battle systems between games...

I loved the flash game on Newgrounds. This game is hard, NES hard. Buy it and you will fail, alot, but you will play it more!

This game rest where 'Other: M' should have been, This complimation came out in september last year, but I think it proved itself in 2010 to be the only great metroid experience on the Wii, You will not be dissapointed.
I am a massive fan of the metroid series having completed every game in the series; even pinball, 'other: M' should have been made or translated sensitively to impress people like me, but no! Its a messy senseless drab mess with ineffienct gameplay and none of the chracter of the 2D metroids... BUY TRILOGY...
This is a place for great games a.k.a. not 'Other: M'
