My Player "Retirement"

After playing about 7-8 seasons of NBA 2K11 My Player, I wondered what happens at the end... just out of curiosity (I usually don't like to check out "spoilers" for games).  With the way the game is designed, it isn't that easy to just sim to the end of games via a calendar.  You have to pause the game mid-match and tell the game to sim to the end of it.  That means someone has to load up each game and sim; this makes finding out what happens at retirement very boring and tedious.

Searching on google, I found that someone actually did try to find out what happens... well, not really, but the game forced him to retire in a way.  Here is what he found out (Source):

Needless to say, I was very disappointed :/.  Probably even more disappointed than the lack of celebratory video/screen/whatnot I received following a three-peat world series championships my My Player MLB 2K10 Blue Jays catcher achieved.  If the developers don't include any type of reward for people going through My Player modes for a substantial amount of time or gameplay, it's gonna turn people off from an otherwise awesome game mode.  MLB 2K10 at least gives your character the option to retire into the hall of fame (not sure if doing so gives you anything worthwhile to look at - going to play till I'm forced to retire).  I think I'll sorta stop playing NBA 2K11 for now and just play it whenever I get bored of whatever else I'm playing.  Maybe I'll just make a new character and play a different position (power forward perhaps), I don't know... I really like playing as point guard.

PS:  While my NBA 2K11 point guard didn't play as many seasons as the person on the website, after winning my 5th NBA Title with the Heat, the game constantly crashes every time I load up the endorsements section of My Career.  I dunno if it's related or not = /.
