I have a Rift S and if I don’t push the headphone cable in all the way I only get audio in one ear. Might be Abby’s problem, you have to push way harder than it seems like you should on mine
@lemmox: Unfortunately, the line between satirical American exceptionalism and truly gross nationalism has gotten really thin and blurry. That's part of why Stephen Colbert ended The Colbert Report.
I'm sure the crew means well and are free to do what they want. If they (or you) don't think my and other's concerns are justified that's fine but I stand by what I think.
@lemmox: I don't mean to make a huge deal of it or say that it's the worst thing ever. A good amount of it doesn't feel all that satirical and didn't sit well with me. It seems other people had similar reactions and I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about that.
If you enjoyed it that's fine, we've all have had different experiences and I bet five years ago I would have agreed with you on this. I like this site and community an awful lot and I'm happy discuss things with people I disagree with.
@odinsmana: agreed, pretty disappointing hearing their dismissive response. The kind of patriotism they're aping is often used to alienate people in a very real way. Making light of it just doesn't seem in line with the usual very inclusive stuff I love this site for.
I have to admit, when I saw this video pop up I thought nothing of it - just another goofy feature from the beast crew. But reading some of these comments I've realized how messed up all this overt patriotism is. It just shows how brain washed this country can make you about its "exceptionalism". Don't get me wrong, I know they mean no ill will with this feature - I just hope they can be more conscious about this kind of stuff in the future. Except for Dan, if the current political climate is not enough for him to doubt his Americanism then nothing will.

@boxkev: Some Native Americans are cool with being called Indians but many aren’t. I think the main thing I find a little gross about this video is them playing it for laughs without acknowledging how Oregon Trail whitewashes our westward expansion/removal of native people

Are people liking this commentary better than the Con Air one? I barely made it through Con Air with all the cross talk but I usually like these a lot.
Guys... This is bad. Like Con Air is bad, but the commentary is worse, which is a real shame, cause you guys are funny people. What's the point of talking about John Wick through all of a sweet Steve Buscemi scene? Like the commentary should generally flow from the movie, instead of the movie being completely incidental. Otherwise, just do a goddamn movie podcast. I don't want to complain, but I was really looking forward to this, and it's just frustrating to listen to.
I'd just like to second this, I had a really hard time following both the movie and the commentary. I know they're drinking but maybe 5 people is too many.
