Some Witcher Bumps

Well i had some problems initially  with the Witcher Enhanced Edition, as it seems that someone forgot to put a cd key in many of the new Platinum Edition copies, mine included. :(

And, as i've played through the game once, i wasn't very happy of the low regeneration speed it takes HP and MP to regenerate, as it gets bothersome when you finish a fight and have to wait till health reaches minimal gauges to ply on through. Tried to apply this mod

http://www.moddb.com/games/the-witcher/downloads/infinite-health-and-endurance

which unfortunately didn't work. But after some searches that lead me nowhere looking for another mod, i came to make one myself.

It works in the same grounds as the mentioned above, and works with the Platinum Edition.

Download http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UK2H06O0

There are instructions within the archive. The mod shouldn't give any trouble, as i've only changed some values. But for any feedback, post here, or send me a pm.

Cheers

Happy playing!

I never had trouble with the regenerating health or mana. If anything, the game was ridiculously easy, even on hard.

I actually downloaded the mod that makes the game much harder after my first playthrought. Once you learn the game mechanics it kinda becomes too easy :P
On the other hand the first playthrought can be brutal heh. I remember getting owned by the first fight outside of the tutorial the one where the dogs attack you outside the inn, fun times ;)
You can always use potions/food/sleep to restore health/mana
Just making them infinite would make it kinda boring.

My beef with it, is the fact that after a fight, a lot of times i have to wait for the health and mana to be in a confortable zone to continue my journey, and that breaks the pacing of the game for me.

I know i finished the game already once. But potions, food and sleep aren't always available, and i don't want to wait around as much as i did in my early playthrough last year. Now I'm not so much because of the challenge, but because of the story, characters and backgrounds. :)

I do, but for now i'm playing the mods - Side Effects - and there aren't any potions available at the moment and i have a ridiculous low amount of gold, so it gets a bit boring.

Yeah. Just got to the cemetery. But without potions, or the hability to gather herbs or money, or a fire, it is advancing slowly.

At least a week, but probably till the end of the Steam Sales, as although a great game, it isn't very looked for now.

The only problem i've found was the registration, but even if you have any trouble with it, you still get to play, update and have all of the extras.

There are herbs in the city. If you can find grass you can find herbs. There are herbs in every major area in the game

No. After you install the game, there is the option to register the game. You have to use the key Steam sends you to do it.

Yeah, but this registration is on the Witcher boards and website. It gives you inside access to extras. But it probably won't matter much as you can't install anything outside of Steam, as it encrypts the data.

If I remember correctly you should be able to find green mold in the sewers, sewants in the cementary or cultists' lair (the crypt in the sewers) and hellbore petals almost everywhere above ground. With those you should be able to make swallow with rubedo as secondary substance.

Yeah. I put that picture before and this one now, because it gives sense of what the game is about. Dark fantasy and gore, altough sorry to have upset you. :)

Yep, but the blunder seems to have been with a lot of copies. Probably the problem was with all the amount of manuals and guide, they forgot the key lol

Witcher bumps?  You might want to get that checked out.  I had some F.E.A.R. flashes that almost developed into a full-blown case of Monolithonucleosis.

Totally not funny I know, but I recently purchased the Witcher EE also, and got 4 different codes and didn't even have to use one of them.  We probably both got the game after reading the Witcher 2 thread?  I used D2D though.  A little more expensive, but I'm not sure if I'm going to find Steam necessary.

A side question I expect will be ignored since there's no way to phrase the answer in the form of an insult.  Is there any possible way to cancel out of meditation short of crashing the game?

@SolemnOaf: ahahah I did too get the game after reading that i could import the save game of the first to the second game.

I bought it at retail, so it was as expensive if not a bit more.

lol what did you ask? O_o  there is no way of cancel meditation.

you can put him meditating 0 hours. He gets up soon after.
