Since when does not having a game appear on a gamertag mean you haven't played the game? I played games on my brother's 360 and he doesn't even have online, does that mean I didn't play it?

Personally I think Ubisoft has been worthy of more scorn than EA for quite a while now.  I haven't been personally angry with anything I can think of Activision doing recently.

EA really is delivering more than any other publisher in a lot of ways most recently (with the free content updates to console games especially).  I mean the conquest patch in BFBC is something they would have charged $30 for on PC not many years ago.

If it's a feature that doesn't increase the quality of the product it's a gimmick.  Often times gimmicks are used to promote products.

QTE's might not be the best gameplay mechanic, but it helps deliver a cinematic look while keeping the 'gameplay' fast & smooth.

I don't think the non-linear Castlevanias' non-linearity could be called a gimmick, it's just a different kind of gameplay.  Sometimes backtracking can be used to slow down the pace of the game and make it last longer, which isn't a good thing, but the non-linearity adds to the game as well.

The Wii's motion controls are advertised a lot, but if implemented well they can work good.

Jayge, I'm not saying at all that you haven't played the games.  I understand that we both have differing opinions about the game, and that's perfectly fine.  You pointed out your reasons.  I pointed out my counter reasons.  We had a scuffle.  It's done.

It doesn't really require a whole lot of power these days. On a dual core 2.4ghz CPU it runs quite smooth even with the game set at 800x600. On a less powerful machine, you can easily squeak by in 640x480.

If you want to go the VDMSound route, you should probably also swap DOS4GW.EXE out with DOS32A.EXE. That did wonders for me in Blood and a couple of other games (notably Dark Forces)."

Actually I have it on PS3...how would I know to agree with all that stuff if I had only played the demo? I just didn't dig the game as much as the old ones, which is just my opinion of course. If you liked the game then I guess that's great, but I happen to agree with Jayge. "
