It's been a while since I did a blog here on Giant Bomb.
 
So I went to GameStop to pick up Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.  After I get the game, my friend texts me to go to Blockbuster.  I said "Why?"  He says "They are selling everything for $5."  So apparently my Blockbuster is going out of business and they have to sell everything quick.  Old stuff to new stuff, $5 each.  I had $25 to spend so these are the games I got.
 

• Tenchu Z      (Yeah, I know it's not the greatest game in the world, but it's only $5)
• Afro Samurai
• Ninja Blade
• Too Human
• Prince of Persia (2008)

what did i just watch

That's still awesome. Any sale is a good sale.
 
I'm up in Canada, so there's no fire sales yet for Blockbuster. But I'm keeping ears open.

You might be waiting awhile for any sales up here. Blockbuster Canada is a different company, at least last time I checked, and aren't going bankrupt.   Although I hope they do soon, $5 games, can't say no to that.  "

Yeah, my friend mentioned they're a different beast. I can't imagine they're all that much better off than US Block Buster. But a fire sale would be so rad. Besides the whole thousands of people losing their jobs... "

Nice find dude! Maybe I'll go camp my Blockbuster in hopes that they close that one soon. For some reason it's still clinging onto life, but eventually it will go.

Sounds like you got some excellent deals! I wish I was as lucky with the prices, but I'm stunned they would let Red Dead Redemption go for $5. A game as new as that would have been about $10, I would have thought. Perhaps not.

This is why I have a massive amount of more games for my 360 than PS3, every Blockbuster, EB, Gamestop, Walmart, etc I go to has amazing prices on used games and a massive variety. I don't know why but whenever I go to these stores, I can always find 360 games there (multiplat ones included) more than PS3 ones and at awesome prices.  
 
Mind you, the prices I see aren't THAT crazy because none of the stores I seen were going out of business. But they were still good deals nonetheless. I got all the games you mentioned excluding Tenchu Z for 10 - 15$ each, all from Blockbuster.

Of the games you've purchased, I only played Prince of Persia 2008. I really loved it, but a lot of people dislike it. Sure, it holds your hand too much with the gameplay, but I still think the game is solid enough and everything else about it really impressed me.

I wonder if Egoraptor is still right in the head...

It's been a while since I've seen those "Awesome" videos. That was pretty fucked up, but it was still funny as hell.

So I was having a bad day and I wanted to crush a squirrel with my bare hands.   
 
And then I watched that video and laughed harder than I have laughed in almost 6 months.

That was a good video. My Blockbusters is still kicking so I'm playing the waiting game.
