I was legit thinking this earlier when listening to the Bombcast. Of all the new hires across GB history, Jan... I mean he's top 3 without question, the man can't be stopped. I remember waaaaaaay back when like Scoops even joined I was like, okay.

When the old guard of GB eventually depart here's the new blood to take over. That obviously didn't happen, and then I thought that with Austin, Dan, Abby, Ben, so on so on. And... well yeah. Jan actually feels like the one to do that though. Like. I could see him running this ish someday.

All to say keep up the amazing work Janman! We love ya!

I'm happy y'all. I miss these goobers here on GB so much, but at the same time I feel like Giant Bomb is in good hands with Jeff G, Jeff B, Jan, and Jason steering the ship (shout outs to Danny as well). And now I get my faves off doing something new and cool. Stoked to see what comes of this.

I had a very weird arc with this game, where I was genuinely excited to dig into it. Played a decent chunk all weekend (just finished up the snowy area), was actually having a really good time! Like really good. Stopped playing last night and was excited to get back into it today, but then something happened? I woke up, played for like... ten minutes and boy just could not find myself less interested. I have no idea what happened, if I was just riding some weekend high or what, but playing more Outriders is like the least appealing thing to me right now. I don't know if that's me or the game though, haha.

I love Persona 5. Persona 4 is depending on the day, my favorite game of all time. I also love Final Fantasy and FFXV is in my top three of that franchise. You can like both, you can like neither, you can like one or the other. You really don't need to stack them up against each other and try and shit on one for... reasons?

2011 is the only actual answer. Some of the others have been good, but so many great jokes and moments came out of the 2011 fight. To this day I feel the greatest fuck you Ryan Davis ever delivered was the heel turn on Saints Row to Skyrim. Thing of absolute beauty that killed the rightful winner.

I'd be down. I sadly only have my RB guitar at the moment (drum kit won't fit in this tiny apartment, haha), but that sounds like it shouldn't be a problem. I'm one of the few people I know close to numbers in Alex's library as I've got... around 2100 songs? Certainly not everything, but most of it I'd say. Central time as well so not a huuuuge time difference!

Last game of 2020: Yakuza Like a Dragon

First game of 2021: Dota 2

I fucked up about 50% of this.

I cannot imagine so no. Like Bigsocrates said Sega is the easy answer for another big acquisition. The game divisions of Warner or Bandai Namco I could also see as possibilities, I don't think they have a lot to gain from CD Projekt Red though.

Hi Duders! Sorry for the very "support" post, but I've had a surprisingly hard time finding an answer to this and I know y'all are whip smart. So I just got my Series X and have all my old Xbox One games on an external HDD. So I know that I can play the games from there, but do they benefit from things like faster load times and whatnot? Or do they have to be moved to the internal SSD to take advantage of perks like that?

Basically what I'm asking is if I really need to move my 1500+ Rock Band songs to the internal to finally make that game not load like a nightmare or if I can keep it all on my external.

Thank you all in advance!

I doubt it would happen for a number of reasons, the biggest being that most of the crew just doesn't... seem to be that interested in VR? Jeff for sure went to bat for it early, but has said that what with life stuff he can't just put on a headset and play stuff like he could a few years back. Abby seems to be getting into it, but will be gone by game of the year time. And even if both of those two had played any of the games you were talking about that would just be two people having a talk as (as far as I can tell) the rest of the cast just doesn't really touch VR stuff for better or worse.

There's no shortage of places that will talk VR if you look, but yeah, at this point hoping the crew devotes an entire category to it during GOTY is, well, keep living that pipe dream I suppose.
