YO DOG THIS IS LIKE TOTALLY THAT ONE GAME JEFF MADDOGGED ON YEARS AGO GOT HISSELF FIRED AND SHIT RIGHT?!

Seriously, you're all a bunch of children; Jeff obviously makes some overt references to "the shit" from years ago toward the end of this write-up.  He's not stupid, and he's isn't given to jerk off your flimsy egos with details on that situation or how the aftermath of it will affect his opinion.  You have to understand the questioning a journalist's integrity is roughly akin to accusing athletes of steroid usage; its a serious matter with serious implications.

You don't have any right to demand ANYTHING from Jeff except the same "hey this my opinion, maybe you'll agree with me, maybe not" type of coverage he and the site in general provides.

Oh and for the record, if the man is willing to play the game and talk about it HE'S PROBABLY NOT NEARLY AS WOUND UP ABOUT IT AS SOME OF YOU SEEM TO BE.

No ODST(Firefight) mention for best co-op? Spec Ops is great but Firefight was an absolute BLAST to play for hours on end.

Ryan just has a sour disposition.  Its not just with Brad on the Bombcast.  In several Quick Looks he just seems to capitalize needlessly on slip-ups made by the other person (playing or not) and in general does not seem to be a very positive person.

Thats not to say he doesn't provide some dimension to the overall "cast" of the site, I just do not personally enjoy most of what he contributes.

I've basically caught on to the same system.  Every time I've obtained an audiophile, I'll get a Checkpoint notice once I've moved a short distance away from the location; or a Checkpoint right after taking out some Covenant in one of the open court areas in the city.

@zyn: I had 3 achieves unlocked less than an hour after I obtained by copy at midnight. And people were logging achievement unlocks on leaked copies well before the official launch.

Although today during a Firefight match, we hit 200k and we all got the achievement except one guy.  Methinks XBL is having some issues with this game in particular as I've been experiencing random lag spikes while playing, haven't seen that in a very long time.  Game also froze on me after about 3 hours the first night I had it, and an achievement I had just unlocked was not on my profile after I had restarted the system, very strange.

If Bungie knew when to quit (they don't), I'd be content in saying Master Chief is never coming back.  And rightfully he shouldn't.  I was positive he was going to "die" in the last game, but the actual ending was better than i could have ever hoped for.

Master Chief's return should not be made a reality. Ever.

Since it inevitably will, and Universe willing Bungie will NOT be behind it, I'd like to see a much smaller adventure for the MC.  And by "smaller" I mean more emotionally involved and humane; not the steroid-addled, faceless automaton war-porn epic the Halo Trilogy became.  Basically think of the movie "Shane" (or "Pale Rider') but instead of riding out on a horse at the end of the game, he has to re-enter the cryo chamber or risk death of some kind.

There is s specific moment in the first level as Buck where he questions Dare where all the Elites are; the Elites absence is taken care of within the game world.; in fact their corpses are strewn about in some areas. However it does represent somewhat of a timeline issue since the Elites are not forced from power until later into Halo 2.  The Covenant ship jumping in slipspace happens near the beginning of Halo 2, placing ODST running concurrently with the events of the second game and slightly into the beginning of the third.  I suppose its possible the Elite rebellion STARTED at Earth and worked its way back to High Charity, but it was not presented that way in either Halo 2 or 3.
