This looked really good. When I heard it was pretty similar to D1 I kind of wrote it off my list but seeing the footage makes me super interested again. Especially with playing it on PC.

@steveurkel: There's been lots of cool games made with GameMaker. You can make a decent game in GameMaker without ever touching coding too. I'd definitely give it a shot. Good luck!

@dizzyhippos: In my opinion, the moment you start getting into the coding part is the moment you should switch to something that supports a nice language like C#. Otherwise, like you sort of said, you'll end up hitting walls with their proprietary language.

Any engine that uses an already existing language is usually fine. Construct 2 uses Javascript, which is fine for the type of stuff Construct 2 does.

@danryckert In the real universe, there's so much room between objects that if you draw a straight line from one corner of the galaxy to the other, the chances of you hitting anything is almost 0%. Here's a neat article on that.

NMS has everything way closer together though.
