Removing the presentation segment from my reviews...

In the middle of writing my Bionic Commando review at the moment and I just can't be bothered with this aspect anymore...

Since the introduction of the PS3 and 360 there has really been no point in commenting on the technical aspect of the game. Granted there were one or two early titles that looked pretty bad, like the original Condemned, let us not forget Dead or Alive 4 though. Easily still one the best looking games to date.

Anyway, my point being that unless a game truly has stunning presentation either in a negative or positive way it will remain absent from my reviews. Every game that is released these days has decent production values due to the nature of the gaming market. By that I mean they are too many people that will buy anything if the graphics are good and wouldn't know decent gameplay if it kicked them in the face.

The main thing that has made me do this is playing the PSP a lot, when a portable system has the power to rival a previous console I think it's safe to say that commenting on every games technical aspect is rather pointless.

I think the style of sectioning off the review is outdated.  just let it flow naturally, that way you're not being shoehorned into talking about specific things.

Just don't write reviews in set segments. Not all games have worthwhile music to talk about, or stories etc; just talk about that stuff when it actually has a bearing on how the game feels overall.
