This made me go back to DR1 to see how much I remembered which was quite a bit. Played it for 6 hours straight last night. It still has something about it that makes it really fun.
You do need to know where some key stuff is though. Getting to level 10 or so within the first hour is a must really.
I feel very similar regarding Gears 4 as Jeff does. I was really hoping they would expand on the early stuff set up in the beginning chapters rather than fall back on locust style play.
The locust style of combat is still a lot of fun but I felt the DBs offered an opportunity to really keep the core Gears style in tact while making it play different at the same time.
Still thoroughly enjoyed the campaign and maybe I read too much into the ending but I am really intrigued by what it could mean.
Holy shit, Halsey's journal at 5:12 is identical to the one included with the collector's versions of Halo: Reach. What a fucking astounding attention to detail. Nearly jumped out of my chair when I noticed.
Surprised more people didn't pick up on this, this was a really nice touch.
Glad I watched this video, I was somewhat skeptical about Halo 5 but having recently got an Xbox One I'm going to dive back in when it releases. I need my Halo fix.
