Similar to what someone else said, this would be incredible if they left the lily pad shine for last and just let Dan bang his head against it ESPECIALLY if he wasn’t in first and his only hope of winning was netting a red shine from it. I don’t get why Vinny quitting on it was “in bad form”. Alex has given up on shines before, and Vinny gave it more than a fair try.
I think one thing that might help is butt-stomping when they see that Yoshi is directly over the boat. I don’t remember for sure if he can butt-stomp out of a flutter, but it would make it easier to get to the lily pad level since a lot of Yoshi deaths involve them coasting over the boat.
Wow, this was extremely interesting. I am a comedian, and find that some constraints are good for me. Things like wanting to get a new bit smoothed out before a feature set or trying to trim off the fat of a joke for an open mic with a short time limit can help a joke come together quicker and better than it might have otherwise. I put constraints on myself in addition to those imposed on me (for example a 20 minute set without cussing) and I think that's helped me become a better comedian.
