SR2 is much easier to get into than GTA4 because GTA4 is so story driven. Its like the difference between reading a trashy novel or a serious literature. The serious lit on all technical merits is so much better than the trashy novel, but after a long day of work, you'd want to hit the trashy novel cause its just so much easier to get into.

In terms of enjoyment factor I'll give that to anybody that says they like SR2 better since its subjective; but on a pure technical merit of which is a better made game overall, I would still say GTA4."

I agree with your literature analagy to an extent - that said, I have still found myself fairly immersed in the storyline of Saints.

As you say, everyone's opinion as to which game is 'better' is gonna be different  - in my personal opinion, despite Saints being a 'trashy novel' - its a pretty immersive one.

In reply to TheGTAvaccine, thats a Fair point, with the history of bugs/glitches in the original saints row, I have found that most times when something is not immediately obvious I start to worry whether its a glitch...only to find that I'm just generally being gash at the game. Ha

I actually like the matte finish of the elite as opposed to the gloss finish of the ps3.

Having looked through the forums on this site - i cant seem to find many people who were looking forward to it, and/or are now enjoying it.

I personally am having a ball with this game.

Basically just trying to canvass opinion - and hopefully find out that I am not alone in enjoying this game more than GTA IV.

A good game, of that there is no doubt. I think for the most part the biggest problem with Far Cry 2 is that it gives you freedom...to an extent, it gives freedom whilst maintaining a certain amount of linearity. I felt it would have been a far better game if the developers had decided either way.

Still, good game - i felt got better with time.
