Will's comment about "I can fill up PUBG every night with x mode" is a bit disingenuous. He knows they aren't joining for death match game play...they are joining for PUBG.

But that was his point. Plenty of people still like playing Deathmatch modes in games, but as a mode in a larger game, not as standalone combat-arena games.

Okay, this is the second time he's mentioned it; does anyone know the crazy revelation Ben had playing Ni No Kuni 2? Is it something that only really pertains to the Ni No Kuni series, or is a general "holy shit" type thing?

If I was a Yakuza criminal looking for random people to fuck with on the street, I wouldn't choose the angry looking guy with the eyepatch....

Until there's more to the game than just "Be a pirate," totally not interested. And I don't understand how people are so hyped for this game at this point. This is No Man's Sky all over again.

One thing they didn't bring up when talking about Bat Vs. Knife in Zero-G, is that swinging a bat will probably end carrying you with the swing's velocity. So, depending on if you're floating/planted and how you actually swing, you'll either A. continue spinning until you find a surface to stop or counter-swing to correct the momentum, or B. float away.

Either way, using traditional attacks with the bat will likely be less effective, because you lose the force you traditionally get from planting your feet on the ground and swinging with your entire body. Trying that in Zero-G will end up pushing you away from the surface (if you can even manage to get firm footing in the first place). Additionally, once you're floating in the air, it becomes hard to orient your body in a way to effectively perform an attack like that, without continual spinning (making a second attack difficult at that point). So, your more effective form of attack will be either controlled swinging with only your arms, or launching yourself straight towards the other person, and jabbing the bat straight into the enemy.

Now, knives will have the same drawbacks as bats, with regard to momentum fucking with you. However, with the smaller size and mass, swinging a knife will cause less spin than swinging a bat. Also, you could swing a knife faster, allowing you to more quickly try to correct the spin by swinging the opposite direction. Like the bat, your swings will be weaker without proper grounding, so your stabbing and cutting power will be impacted (but perhaps not as badly as the bat, which relies entirely on transmission of force to do damage? Now that I think about it, I'm not sure how much Zero-G changes the effect of physical impacts on a person). So again, the most damaging (but most risky) attack will be launching yourself like a giant dart at the enemy.

It's too bad they stopped playing Hoth before they got to the boss. The killing QTE is pretty crazy, from a SW fan perspective.

But I agree with the sentiment that as they kept listing off "B-game" titles, the definition for what constitutes a "B-game" really started to fade. In the first episode, it seemed to be a mix of marketing/development budget and public awareness of the game. But now you're playing Force Unleashed, a game that was heavily marketed at the time and I think was fairly popular, while saying it's about "Feel" and that it's a B-tier quality game (While up until now, they've been adamant that it's not about quality). I can't say it's anywhere near a AAA- game, but at the same time, calling it "B-tier" seems wrong to me too.

I know this ranking of "B-tier" is wholly informal and subjective, but the almost contradictory definitions between the team so far has been kinda lame. I don't want to force the guys into setting up a strict definition of "B-game" they can never deviate from, but at the same time I don't think 'feel' should really dictate what tier a game falls into here. I felt the motion controls in Skyward Sword were really tacky and cheapened the game overall. Can I then say it's not a AAA- game to me, and call it an A- or even a B- game; just because it "felt" like a poor game to me?

If this is "B-tier", what would God of War be? Forget the rest of the series, just God of War 1. I'd argue that while the quality of gameplay in GoW is better than Force Unleashed, from my memory Force Unleashed got similar sized marketing hype as GoW did (GoW did eventually do better in public mindshare, though). So, unless the ranking of games jumps straight from "AAA" to "B", I think calling this "B", and lumping it in with stuff like Psy-Ops and Total Overdose is a bit careless.

Hell, Starkiller made a cameo in Soul Calibur 4. And that should be all you need to know to determine the game's quality: among the greats of Tekken, Legend of Zelda, and.... Spawn: Armageddon?

@cloudymusic: Yeah, Vinny and/or Alex guessed that somewhere in the last few episodes. If you think about it, that's kinda the only way these two stories could connect (If you're going with the clear assumption that both of these stories will eventually meet).

@jbick89: I can't speak to what all the dangers of arcade machines might be, but one of the biggest dangers is the screen. It's been said many times, but CRT screens are basically giant capacitors and can hold a charge for a very long time unplugged; and if touched in the wrong place can be pretty harmful. A lot of people throw around the cautionary tale that a CRT shock will kill you, and while I'm sure that can be a possibility, I've seen plenty of accounts of people surviving the shock (although the pain seems to be immense). That alone tends to give Arcade repair a very risky tone.

I'm gonna say it now: The style and music is great, but Parappa the game... was never good.
