Gotta disagree with Jeff here, Tojam & Earl 2: Panic on Funkatron is a great game. Sharp and colorful art style, slick animation, tight controls and bangin' beats. The levels are brightly coloured (until the funk disapates) and Funkatron in general is well realised as the crazy-ass place it is. It also has a lot of hidden content to find too, for those that did enjoy it and want to come back for more.
Is it better than TJ&E1? Maybe, maybe not...but they are two very different games. But I can see why one might be disappointed in the decision to just be a platformer, even if it's a great one.
It's a bit of a shame that the UI for the PC versions of these are pretty bad. No key bindings, iffy deadzone settings on 360 pads, dodgy arcade/fightstick support, no exit program button.
The game emulation itself is fine but goddamn, they missed some real basic stuff! It'll probably never get fixed either.
I just use D-fend reloaded these days when it comes to DosBox, makes things much easier and far quicker. Not authentic but i just wanna play the goddamn games
Bit sad to hear this, though i will probably wait for a little more feedback. I enjoyed the BETA but it did seem like the progression and unlocks were just a little lacking. Being a big Battlefield fan i was hoping for a lot more unlocks and equipment.
