An hour and 27 minutes in, I was reduced to tears. Jesus Christ this game is gloriously shitty.

Can't believe you guys were right down the street from me over the weekend and I missed it!

I live in Brookfield and Galloping Ghost is, I think, the crown jewel of this awesome little town. For living literally 2 minutes away, I don't go nearly enough. Doc, the owner, owns a lot of businesses in the town actually and has them under the GG banner. He's a cool dude. I used to go to the Galloping Ghost gym that's right down the block. Two of the actors from MK2 taught classes there. They still might, I'm not really sure.

I can't wait to watch this video though. Hope you duders had a blast and got to check out other parts of the town!

@thaquoth: I also learned that last night, just from Googling Steven Tyler to see how old he was. Noticed his real last name and then of course had to find out if they were in any way related. Lo and behold...kinda fucking crazy.

As for them being" fake big," I don't really see it that way. My dad is an Aerosmith fan and as a result, I listened to a lot of them growing up. I'm not familiar with their rise to fame or anything, they just always seemed huge since I've been alive. I've also seen countless old rockers sporting their shirts at shows over the years. I don't think they've necessarily had the same impact as a lot of their peers and I can't say I've ever heard anyone cite Aerosmith as an inspiration, though I'm sure they're out there. And honestly, I do still like a good deal of their music. Shit's catchy as hell.

Well this is fucking devastating.

For real though, Jeff. You're a real one. Some might say the realest. I'll follow wherever you go. Giant Bomb, no, VIDEO GAMES wouldn't be the same without you. Thank you for the last 14 years, duder. It was a wild ride and has been a core staple of my life.

Hilarious episode.

I really like their second and third records. Faceless is a damn fine album. After that, they lost me. Definitely started gearing toward bland radio rock, which they fully achieved on their last record. So no, they definitely aren't reliable in giving you what you want .

@lase: I agree with you on pretty much every point you made. I still had fun with this game, but for all the reasons you listed, I think this is weakest of Arkane's games so far. As for the part about Danny...I think the reasons you give behind it are unfair. Looking at the general critical reception to the game, it has garnered a LOT of praise all around and has gotten multiple perfect or near-perfect review scores, as well as being high in the running in GOTY talk.

While I am definitely baffled at how this game actually achieved that kind of response considering how underwhelming it really is, Danny is clearly not the only one who has strong positive feelings towards the game. It's possible he just genuinely really loves it.

The original Silent Hill is my favorite in the series, still. I love it's grungy look and the atmosphere created by the limitations of the PS1. The graphics really add to the horror. Amazing score, brilliant puzzles.

I'm excited for this feature, but I'm also planning on playing SH1 again soon, after many years, and I kinda wanna go in without it being fresh in my mind from watching this.

@inevitablechees: I think that's an incredibly cynical view of what's been going on. Yeah, the site has changed in the last half a year obviously, but damn dude, it's still pretty early on. They're finding their footing. More game stuff has been coming the last couple weeks and it's already been stated that there will be plenty of more game related content in the future.

The quality of content is entirely subjective. It's not all going to be for everyone. I don't watch everything they put out, but I've enjoyed quite a bit of it so far. Anything I don't like, I stop watching and wait for the next new thing. Saying it's turning into another generic geek culture site is hyperbolic, as it still feels very curated to GB humor and their tastes as far as who they want to work with and what they want out of them.

As far as joke content vs. "actual" content, whatever that really means... I'm guessing you haven't been a fan that long judging by your profile, but GB has been doing joke videos since the very beginning. This is nothing new and it's not being posted "instead" of anything else. The "actual" content still exists, but now they can focus on that themselves while paying other people to try weird new ideas. And this feature in particular feels like the most on-brand thing they've done yet.
